I'm helping Pas through Skype, but here's what worked for me:

1. Remove all existing drivers using THIS. Allow it to do the things it wants to do like reboot in safe mode etc. It's easy and automatic.
2. Install THIS. NVIDIA's GPU panel. It'll detect your GPU and install the Windows 10 driver.
3. ???
4. Bankruptcy.

My thoughts on Windows 10? It's great. Things feel smoother, faster, the layout makes sense, and the art direction's much improved. I like all the new icons.

Someone else will have to test rotwk, my MacBook Pro bottlenecked and for the next couple days I'll be reinstalling literally 300gb worth of stuff so I'll see you guys when my hell is over.

It bottlenecked in Mac OS X not Windows 10 so no worries there.

No, no reinstalls.

So the upgrade does not format the drive, no need to reinstall anything? Does it wipe loose files such as downloads and things on the desktop?

Nope, nothing like that. I lost exactly no files.

Good to know, I was hesitant because I didn't want to clear my drives yet.

The only things it got rid of for me are extensions and plugins for Windows Media Player and Internet Explorer, which was slightly annoying since I had several plugins for the media player.  Those two things no longer exist.  Smartly, they made two separate programs for playing music, and playing videos.  Unfortunately, the new programs were named by preschoolers.  Enjoy GROVE, EDGE, and... erm... MOVIE & TV.

Xbox Music is good for mobile usage, but I doubt it when it comes to PC.

If someone with a decent upload speed could upload .iso to mount then we should all be set.

Speaking of which by the end of today I should be back up and running, if I could get my hands on the .iso for my laptop before I get home (where my disks are at) then I can start modding again for the last 10 days of my summer vacation. Yes, that means the BFME MOBA can finally see some work done and MEE could get some work done as well.

I reserved my copy for my laptop, so I'll get my feet wet on there first before committing my desktop to the switch. That, and my desktop is still in pieces in boxes somewhere on this planet and I'm not sure where, hopefully nearby.

Meh.  It's not like their tech support actually reads the comments anyway.  Microsoft's ability to take abuse is incredibly low.

Nah. Sorry if I did so, but I also expected that the embedded image would display a "Via 9GAG" watermark as is usual, and this one doesn't seem to.
