Hi... So, I learned how to model around the end of January (Jan 29 or so)... Ever since then, I have been working on making models for my mod 'Hope for the hopeless'

I have been through a-lot of models, and the ones that I didn't find good enough for the mod, I put in a model pack here http://www.moddb.com...gmars-modelpack

So, anyways, I have made the dwarves from the Iron hills ( Model based on Guardians)

IronhillsSpearNEWNEW.1.jpg

Their poly count is around 984.

Their textures are made from pictures, and edited/recolored with gimp.

The helmet was 100% made from scratch :p.

Anyways, I hope they're not too bad..

You can find the mod link here http://www.moddb.com...or-the-hopeless

They're definitely not too bad. Great start!

My main point of criticism (short of getting into details about texturing lessons) is that the head seems to be too large. It makes their proportions look a little comical.

Sorry for deleting my previous reply :p. I sort of ended hope for the hopeless, and learned more about texturing/modeling.

And I started a new mod,

I would really appreciate some feedback on how the models are textured :D

Hello LordOfAngmarl!

Those are some great models for a guy who started modelling and making textures.

Here are some tutorials for texturing.Tutorials are extremely good and are on a site made by T3A Members of Revora.

Skinning in Layers(Most beautiful looking textures are made through this way):

Skinning Gondorian Armor:
https://www.the3rdag...tem-618?addview

Skinning a Thick-grain Cloth:
https://www.the3rdag...tem-160?addview

I am using these methods to create textures. And they look really well.

Good Luck with your Modding work!
