That's a perfect depiction! Looks like you took some inspiration from John Howe's desig (chain mail, cone point helmet...)

I like the design of the Variag, and what it is based on, however I am still hoping to see this helmet designed by John Howe.

More axes as variations to make this unit even more original. They could be the Dwarf like infantry for Mordor , fond of axes and shields.
Will those be efficient against structures?

Elven helmets that highlight their high lineage!
I'm really glad you're focused on the respect of the lore. It's that kind of detail that makes AotR a jewel among the long days of BFME

I find it funny that everyone is saying that its an elven helmet when its just Isildur's helmet with only the front crest. Eitherway, thank you Elessar The Northern Rangers will always remain my favorite from Tolkien's works.
Here's another possible variation posted here exclusively
Someone guess the actor

Both versions of the Rivendell warriors look really good. But it is hard for me too imagine them going to battle in such light arms.
I now that Lorien warriors have a similar light armor, but they are a different kind of unit. Aimed at speed and ambushes and not on normal fights. And that isn't something that Rivendell would do.
So that light armor looks more like no armor to me.
