Sure. Herbert was the man who found out how to modify the ARLC format. I'll message you.Here's his guide. Remember that you can't edit the actual animation. Only downside of it (but you wont need to mess with anyway)

Hi. Anyody knows, how to edit ...Commandos 2\data\WOFIP\tst.arlc    file (Main menu picture)?

 

You can extract/repack the images from the arlc file with this toolkit:

Has anyone maybe figured out what should be done in order to enjoy 1920x1200 resolution without the picture being distorted into 1920x1080?

Hi all, I'm a noob in modding but I really love Commandos 2 so I decided to make this mood compatible with 1920x1080 resolution till now I was able to change the tst.arlc (main menu) file and, the briefing for first message and the ingame menu. If you are interested let me know and I will share the files.

Hi,

This zip replaces the files of the menus and the first Briefing in order to have real 1920x1080 resolution and not stretched images.

All briefings and intro-scenes of the missions.

Not as I expected - I see a black bar covering 1/3 of my screen :( But I also had troubles with HD mod itself (saving crashes the game), so I guess I can't play this game anyway.

Sorry to hear that, by the way this was made on the legacy version of steams commandos 2 + Commandos 2 hd project.

Hi,

 

just a hint - try with virtualbox and win 7 or even win xp ;)

 

EDIT: Just copy the original "MISIONES" Folder into the hd projekt "DATA" Directory :)

Windows 10 and game wont start. Only blink screen and nothing.

@Marekx89: Remove the tick from "Reshade Effects" in the launch window, I can't run the game with it either, but prefer the original colors anyway.

Found a bug with version 1.0

 

It seems to define the aspect ratio based on the monitor rather than the settings, so the game will look very stretched on Ultra Wide monitors (2140x1080).

 

Is there any file or executable to control the aspect ratio? (the old resolution option was moved to a a file in the data folder)?

 

Also, is there a way of using integer scale on the game window? it's kinda crude, but will look less blurry

I noticed for example that the files DATA.PCK and DATA2.PCK are empty files, but replacing them with the original files gives no better result.

I extracted the English Language.rar file but it doesn't give more success.

 

Is there somewhere a way to debug what is happening?

In ddraw.ini I see references to d3d9, but on my system I see that my version of DirectX and Direct 3D is 12.

 

The process stops without any message. The return code is 0.

Have you tried running it as administrator?
