Why not replacing the variags with easteling swordsmen? variags are from khand that lies south of mordor, so variags fit better in the mumak pen.

Khand is to the south-east of Mordor. I hope the Variags look like John Howe's art. I've always loved his design. http://www.john-howe...hp?image_id=524

The Variags generally fought alongside the easterlings, and even their first appearance on the field was alongside the Wainriders.

We will probably be coming up with original designs but who knows.

I like the diversity of Mordor!

I have a few questions and suggestions if you don't mind :)

1: I have seen the recent pics of soldiers of rhun and easterling kataphrakt. According to this list they aren't recruited from the easterling camp, will they be there in the future or just summoned by Khamul or something?

2: Why not make a morgul barracks building that get unlocked when upgrading to morgul sorcery to recruit morgul orcs and vanguard instead of being recruited from the fortress?

3: I don't see the black riders horde on this list, are the rest of the nazguls summoned from the new power "wraiths on wings"?

If so, I have a suggestion. Why not make the 5 remaining nazguls recruited individually from the fortress after Morgul sorcery as a single heroic units that are limited to 5 in the game

And make the power "wraiths on wings" a passive ability which allows those 5 nazgul heroic units to ride a fellbeast? They can be weaker nazguls than the other 4 and have the same vanilla abilities

instead of having special ones like the other 4.

btw I like your idea of mordor increasing in power from the fortress and also love the shelob guard idea as Sauron use shelob to guard the path of cirith ungul and feeds her orcs and prisoners from time to time as a deal :)

About Rhun, the Phalanx of Rhun are the Easterlings you see on the render, and I guess those Black Wyrm Banners might be the Kataphrakt, else the faction has two banner carrier upgrades?

1.) As Bashkuga said the Easterling Phalanx and Easterling Archers use the same movie skin that was shown in the render. The Kataphrakt is a special unit that you can only use on Rhun and Rhovanian region maps accessible via an Easterling Inn type structure. Might be subject to change later but we'll see.
The Black Wyrm banner is an upgrade we are still figuring out.

2.) We prefer it coming from the fortress because it makes use of the already existing upgrade of Morgul sorcery from the fortress.

3.) The Nazgul are also still being developed concept wise but you won't have to wait for too long because it's the next faction we'll be looking at getting in game!

Good to know that Morgul orcs are so elite that they're recruited straight from the fortress

First of all hi people I'm Balrog_of_Morgoth

I have few suggestions for your already great Mordor :)

1) About Khamul: it will be logical to give him a leadership ability only effects Easterlings he is one of them after all :D and name it to something "commander of legions of the east" maybe?

2) Give Variags axes and scimitars thats fit to the eastern style weaponry and I left armor design to your master hands :)

3) And if you work on some buildings of Mordor as you did with Gondor I will be really happy

Thanks for reading and waiting for your reply

Hey Balrog, good to see you here!

1) Khamûl will definitely be getting an Easterling leadership, not to worry.

2) Mathijs does have a model in the works for the Variags. We'll take the weapons into consideration

3) You'll be happy to know that Mordor will be receiving the buildings we made for Shadow and Flame. ;)

And one more question: This one about siege equipment. Troll catapult is a replacement for regular catapult in visual? Or it is better than that?

Will it also have the same visuals and sound effects as it does in the movie when the sorcery spirals round the fortress and shoots in the air and lets out a ghoulish cry?

For gothmog i was thinking to make him less "passive" ability oriented; make  Master of Siege gran a temporary boost for 35 seconds with a cool effect otherwise why would one pull gothmog and his good orc leaderships away from the front lines, where he would be much more effective? Also for a level 10 ability perhaps this:

Morgul Host - Rank 10

Summons a dreadful Morgul Host

containing 2 Olog-Hai Trolls, 3 catapults and 2 Hordes of fully upgraded Morgul Warrior/Vanguard

for 60 seconds.

Turning one of his passives into an activated ability is something I can get behind.

The Morgul Host power though, not so much. :p
