Hello guys,

 

A quick question here,

So I made my new object, textured it, it shows up in game it seems like everything is fine.

I instered the modell into RotWK's mordor fortress.ini. just for the test, if it shows up.
As I described above, it is okay, but I don't see any shadows, all other buildings are have shadows, just my building don't.

 

So this is my my question here, How do I add it a shadow ?

It should have a shadow if you're running on high settings. If not, make sure you have Shadows ticked in W3D Tools before exporting.

The problem still presist I made a video about it, just for if someone would like to help, it can easily seen

I just cut some buildings pieces into this building, edited, and saved.
I know its realy basic, but it's just for the test, because the building what I made from other buildings' parts still don't have a shadow.

The shadow option at w3d tools is checked.

The shadow issue, seems like solving, it turned out there is not enough to just copy and edit the builndings pieces, I have to add the texture to them, and if I add the texure I have shadows.

 

But a question still remains, as I saw the game use dds format for textures , but in 3ds max, for w3d file type I can only apply tga files to the buildings, how it goes ?

I mean firstly apply it as tga, then convert all the pictures about the texture to dds one by one ?
