With news that North Korea has now test-fired an ICBM capable of reaching the United States, I am wondering if the mission Singularity have to be changed or removed from the mission list? The mission itself is reminiscent of what is going on with North Korea and South Korea constantly gearing up for war (Especially if IRL we end up in an actual shooting war with the North.)

Sorry if these thoughts are spilling out into here.....I'm just worried......that's all.....feel free to remove this post if it doesn't make any sense whatsoever.

No. There is no reason to censor fiction because it's too reminiscent of real life events, particularly conflicts. By that logic, every book, movie, game, etc. reminiscent of real life wars, battles, revolutions, and other conflicts should be removed too.

No because what happens in MO storyline is completely different from what is happening irl.

Especially since it's a mod... which was made before this whole North Korea issue sparked out, at least to this intensity

Yea, the fact that it's a mod voids all matters of publishing insensitive materials since MO isn't being marketed.  If the situation escalates into an actual war, the content may have some effect on the fanbase and public mediums though. It'll be fine, really.

When Serious Sam 3 was released, it was released a year after the Arab Spring; while the game was set in Egypt, within cities with Arabic buildings and mosques, having headless kamikaze bomber enemies (also something something ISIS). Nobody gave a shit, and yet it was a commercial game. So I doubt MO will cause any trouble. :V

There were many "North Korea issues" in the past. Each time the media screamed and hyped it all as if the world was going to end any day.
Yet, nothing happened. Nothing changed. Why would this time be any different?

And if someone will feel offended because a mod happens to mention something that's going on the Korean peninsula... well... let's just say we have no obligation to care about other people's insecurities. :p

Unfortunately, we're living in times of the dictatorship of political correctness. We're becoming so afraid to offend anyone that we're actually starting to censor anything that simply might offend someone.

The existence of this thread is the proof for how pervasive this mentality is in the world, that even ordinary, normally living people start doing it.
