Many of you have asked and now you shall receive. The Age of the Ring Worldbuilder.

http://www.mediafire...builder 3.0.rar

Attached is a .rar file (yes you need WinRAR or .7z) that you extract into the directory of your ROTWK install. Inside the file is a readme that will tell you what you need to do.

This is used AT YOUR OWN RISK. It has the ability to completely ruin your install of ROTWK if you DO NOT FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS. For that reason we are only releasing it here.

So please, please, PLEASE. READ THE README

Enjoy!

Hello Dunedain in the Readme there is a lack of information.
The file##########202_v7.0.0 AOTR.big should be renamed without the "AOTR"  so it will be ##########202_v7.0.0.big and it need to overwrite the already existed file in ROTWK folder. (Remember to back up asset.dat and ##########202_v7.0.0.big  in main folder first)

That is not an error. The ##########202_v7.0.0.big file needs to be disabled while the ##########202_v7.0.0 AOTR.big is active while AotR World Builder is open. You should not overwrite anything in the RotWK game folder.

The readme isn't wrong. If you actually replaced that file without backing it up, you have to reinstall 2.02. Congratulations.

Oof, I had a time and a half trying to get this thing working! Almost gave up, but nevertheless, she persisted. The readme IS a little bit lacking information. Specifically that you have to remove the ##########202_v7.0.0.big and replace it with the aotr one (don't worry--I backed it up first). At least that's what I had to do, and it seems like the other person that commented did as well, so maybe clear that up so others can more easily install.
Anyway, THIS IS FLIPPING AMAZING! Can't tell you how exciting it is that I can make maps with your wonderful mod! Keep up the good work! DEF planning on donating to y'all when I can, which is a thing I've never done for mod designers, more due to lack of funds than anything, but I will totally set aside something for this! Also will there be WB updates for upcoming versions?

PS- JUST sayin', I love a lot about Edain, but I feel like it's almost a different game. Basically they remade bfme1, and y'all remade BFME TWO. :)

There a good hundred more props for AotR World Builder in the next version - including the new cliffs which will be revolutionary for BfME mapping. https://media.moddb....22582/Khand.PNG

If BfME 1 style is more your thing or if you want to mix the two, you can check out the Universal Build-plots. They're used in the AotR fortress maps.

Regardless of their quality - amateur or pro - I'd love to see them. ;)

Sure thing! I'll post some pics when I get a chance. Haven't found the time to work on anything in a while, and still getting the hang of a few things. Some of what I'm making is kinda artsy-fartsy, like not super practical to play but it LOOKS great and they're fun to make! When the time comes and y'all like any screenshots feel free to use them for promos or whatever!

Hey thanks for this fantastic addition! so good! However Im having one issue. when loading the map in game it no longer seems to read the custom map Ive made using the AOTR worldbuilder. However if I write the .map file out from the ordinary worldbuilder it does read it... I have tried putting the map in both the AOTR maps folder as well as the maps folder under roaming/My The Lord of the Rings, The Rise of the Witch-king Files...

Thanks

Hi,

When the next version of AOTR comes out do you plan to publish a new version of the worldbuilder here? And if so, can we expect to see it immediately published or will it take time?

Thank you for your reply.

G'day, I'll publish it, post it and announce it as soon as I can after the next version of AotR has released. ;)
