I just find it odd? Why is the Campaign Blue (The one that looks like Vanilla Red Alert 2's Blue color) not used as the Blue for MP, but a brighter one (Neon Blue)? This is reminding me of Generals. USA using Dark Blue-like color on the campaign, but not present in Skirmish/MP.
Why is Blue, Neon Blue in Multiplayer/Skirmish?

Speaking of US dark blue, there are 4 places left among the MP colors, hope more colors like CN tan and SC lime will be added in the future.

CN Tan will not. It was added before in 3.0 iirc, but they blend too well in minimap

That dark blue from the campaign is a bit too dark, especially when used as text messages. I prefer to use easily readable colors in skirmish/multi.
Dark Blue? That literal Dark Blue (RGB of 0, 0, 255), or the one the Allies mostly use on the Campaign and Vanilla RA2? That "dark blue" you are referring makes me think of the one darker than the one in Vanilla, and one used by the USA in Generals Campaign.

Why would he refer to Generals' campaign color?

I got it, what Speeder means is that if you use blue in MP, the text color of the player will also be this color, which is not convenient to observe.

Through checking 3.0 gamefiles, 14 colors used are listed below:
Dark Green (Green on client), Red, Cyan (Aqua on client), Green (Lime on client), Pink (unused now), Gold (Yellow on client), Neon Blue (Blue on client), Brown, Orange, Purple, Magenta, Teal, Olive (unused now) and Khaki (unused now).
However, after considering about what you said, tan is really not suitable as an MP color.
