Is there any way to show stackable buffs to structures and units? For Gondor, the stoneworker structure states that its bonus to structure armor stacks with other buffs, but there doesn't seem to be a way to observe this stack, which would be really useful when using Beregond and the Fountain Guards to supplement strategic structures' armor boost from stoneworkers. Do those units' structure buffs even stack? Is there a way to show all these stacks? Perhaps adding more Gondor symbols, one stacked over another?

Same with Mordor. The Morgul Tower description states it buffs Nazgul; and each Nazgul buffs another. It would be handy as a quick reference to have some symbols of some sort over their heads or something with which to quickly identify their buffs.

Also, for every fortress's Morgul Tower, does it add that much more buff to Nazgul...? It seems unclear.

On this subject, what about showing the benefits of the Hall of Fire for Revelers as their cooldown time on their powers is decreased? That one is very unclear as to whether it's really working or not in any efficient way.

Would be really useful indeed. But how to show them? I´ve been thinking on the classic icons (green and red feet for buff or debuff movement respectivly, fist for damage etc) on the unit portrait. Showing them all floating over or around units would be confusing.

Having them be on a unit's portrait would be a great idea, for sure! Maybe even make the unit glow a different color or something? Might be kinda strange looking, but it would give a nice, quick reference. Regardless, there are ways of doing it, I'm sure.

Also, adding in the ability to move the cursor over a multi-buffed unit or structure and show a window with the numerical stats on how much is being buffed would be helpful. For that matter, showing any numerical stats of any kind in addition to the typical health stat would be great! I know ROTWK 2.02 v8.4.0 implemented a few additional ones rather nicely. But showing buffs and debuffs and how they ultimately tally out in the math could be fun to see. More than fun, though, it would just be a handy reference in the thick of gameplay to get a better idea as to how you're faring when you need more than just a health bar to go by, especially in times of desperation when you need to try to micromanage so much to survive long enough.

This sadly isn't likely to be possible.

But why not, precisely...? Is it just the practicalities of showing such information in a limited space or something else to do with the way the game works, given how old it is, or...?

All of the above.

I think I figured out a solution to this issue. Could there by a very small number shown next to the buff symbol that would appear above something that's being buffed, the number changing according to how many buffs there are? For instance, for Gondor, you have buffs for structures from Stoneworkers, Beregond, and the Fountain Guard, with the accompanying White Tree symbol above whatever is buffed by them. Could you put, say, "+2" next to that symbol to show that said structures are now buffed by first one thing plus two others?

It might not look pretty, but it would get the job done!

Might there even be a way to incorporate the way the War of the Ring mode does it in the unit profile pics with armor, attack, etc, symbols? That way, for instance, with the Nazgul and how they all buff each other out, plus the Morgul Tower, you might have a Nazgul symbol above them, and if you clicked on the unit it's profile pic might have an armor symbol on it with, say, "x5" or something? Maybe even show the percentage of armor being buffed under the health number when you highlight the unit with the cursor?

These all seem like really simple ways to show the hard stats being modified in-game. They utilize certain functions already found in the game itself. But are they feasible?

Like I said, no, that's simply not possible.

Shoot... This really sucks. It's constantly a point of confusion as to how solid the mechanics of stackable buffs are working or not without some additional visual representation. Alas....
