So what do I do if I don't have a CD Key for the game?
I have the game through the EA App, but when I check for the key, it shows nothing there.
I checked Spore just to make sure I was looking in the right spot for the key, and I was, but RA3 has no such key.

Edit:
According the PC Gaming Wiki:
"The retail and Steam versions still use serial keys for activation, but the Origin/EA App version does not."

Sooo... am I out of luck and need to buy a new copy?

Ehm I dont think that is where you found the cd key for EA app doh I do not remember that on top of my head. 
never the less, you should be able to get online using EA app just fine. I have done it many times, so could you inform me what you are doing to try and get online and I should be able to help you
