The history is composed of 3 parts:
- Original Timeline (is a summation of C&C: TD & TS).
- “Red Alert” Scenario, created by Chronosphere test-run (is a summation of RA 1 & RA 2 with the start of YR).
- Merged Timeline, created by Temporal Displacement Device (modified YR history).

TIMELINE I: Original Timeline

In accordance with the United Nations Global Defense Act (UNGDA), the "GDI" or fully the "Global Defense Initiative" was founded at the date of October 12th, 1995. GDI was founded to enforce the United Nations Global Defense Act and uphold the ideals as outlined in the United Nations Charter.
Soon after the announcement of the newly formed GDI, a strange meteor impacted on Earth near the Tiber River in Italy. After several months of research Dr. Moebius began to see the inherent danger that this alien plant represented.
The discovery of Tiberium was literally the dawn of a new era for the entire world. It provided a new source for economic gain and technological development as well as destroying life itself. The world drastically changed in terms of economics, politics, technology and environment. Many began to perceive the Brotherhood of Nod and thus its strong man Kane as the direct reason for these cultural and technological advancements, even more so than the Tiberium itself.
The First Tiberian War had begun, Nod had done advanced research on Tiberium and as the war progressed, they began to retaliate to GDI with never before seen weapons, tactics, and advanced forms of espionage, but GDI managed to destroy the Temple of Nod with Kane still inside.
After the Tiberian War, GDI began to organize what would become the most massive evacuation procedure in history, relocating vast portions of the world's populations to areas not affected with Tiberium, mainly the Polar Regions. Nod is separated into few tribes to take the control of the Brotherhood...
On September 2nd, 2030, during a Nod assault on a GDI base, code named Phoenix, and overall increased Nod activity at South-west Sector 9 (South Central America), an encrypted communiqué has found its way on to the Philadelphia's secure channels, jamming them. The message, intended for General James Solomon, was a declaration of war or of intents, of sorts, by the previously thought to be dead Kane.
After a series of important events, such as the failed theft of GDI sonic resonance crystals (technology used on the resonator dishes of the Disruptor tanks), Nod launched several missiles, loaded with biological and chemical catalysts. The missiles triggered a rapid chain reaction of “Tiberium-forming”; real-time genetic mutation on the molecular level. GDI intelligence tracked the missile origins to a Nod base near Hamburg.
GDI then followed with several more strikes against Nod research and experimentation facilities, taking out large research installations and the Banshee aircraft production plants near Hamburg.
Following these events, Kane has ordered a full counter assault against GDI forces worldwide. However, a transmission from a Forgotten commando outside Cairo revealed Kane's true plan. He has, apparently, constructed a powerful missile designed to detonate and spread Tiberium-forming catalysts all over the Earth in one shot...

TIMELINE II: “Red Alert” Scenario, created by Chronosphere test-run

Somewhere in Trinity, New Mexico in the year 1946, the Chronosphere was activated by Einstein's unidentified assistant and Einstein traveled in the past to kill Hitler… and most importantly, ensuring World War II would never take place. But the Soviet Union was becoming a super-power in the world and was beginning to build up a vast army, as well as progress in the technological field faster than anyone ever imagined.
The Great World War II of the Allies & the Soviet Union was inevitable. Finally, with the Chronoshift technology, which was indirectly responsible for the entire situation, the Allies won the War
The Allies, victorious in their battles against Joseph Stalin, have restored peace throughout the Europe and have rebuilt its decimated economy and infrastructure. To oversee the Soviet reconstruction, they have installed their own puppet dictator in the place of Stalin: General Romanov. To the Allied Intelligence, Romanov is nothing more than a consummate politician and the harmless leader of the World Socialist Alliance, an innocuous organization that gives financial aid to developing countries. No one has ever thought that Romanov can be a treat for the newly established peace.
But he had plans of his own. Outraged at Stalin's failure, Romanov is haunted by memories of his homeland burning and Allied troops marching through his country's streets. He's thirsty for vengeance, and unbeknownst to his Allied puppeteers, Romanov has been mobilizing the World Socialist Alliance into a giant military machine for years and is now only biding his time, waiting for the opportunity to strike. When a civil war breaks out in Mexico, Romanov makes his move.
Terrified, the Allies activate the defensive system and declare nuclear war on Russia. Unfortunately all systems are disabled and the US's entire arsenal of nuclear ICBMs remains dormant, useless, in their silos. On the other side Romanov drops in Arizona, New Mexico, Texas and all nearby countries. And worse, people who live there feel weird headaches and some have even turned
against the Allies. Intelligence sources confirm the fears: Romanov has developed a frightening technology that affects man and machine alike; specifically, he has created psychically enhanced troops that can attack with a simple thought.
After a hard War, the Allied army had defeated the Soviets, capturing the Russian Premier Romanov and imprisoning him in the Tower of London. Unfortunately for the Allies, the Soviet agent Yuri had escaped. Yuri's ability to control enemy units with his mind made him a powerful and dangerous adversary.
While the Allies celebrate their victory, Yuri reveals himself. He has created his own army of mind altered warriors and genetic mutations. He has spent his time creating a number of new technologies, the most insidious of which is the Psychic Dominator, a device that allows Yuri complete control of its victims. Yuri has planted many Psychic Dominators around the globe, threatening to control the minds of the world's population when they are activated.
The Allies immediately launch an attack on Yuri's facility located on the Alcatraz Island. While the attack fails to destroy the Psychic Dominator, it is successful in knocking down Yuri's power enough so that the device does not activate. Now the only hope the Allies have is to gain enough of their own power to active a time machine created by Professor Einstein. With this, they can send a force back in time to take out Yuri's device long before it is activated. Unfortunately, the Soviets had their own plan to steal the time machine and not only to stop Yuri, but also reverse the outcome of the last war...

TIMELINE III: Merged Timeline, created by Temporal Displacement Device

The time machine had the same instability that the first Chronosphere had. The Chronosphere technology caused unpredictable effects, such as appearance of temporal vortices and time quakes, due to the constant usage of the Chronosphere by the Allies. But the most important effect was the creation of the new timeline...
But why was it the Tiberium timeline that merged with this one? When the time machine was activated for pre-empting Yuri’s bid for domination, a secondary space-time effect came into play, mixing the "Red Alert" timeline with a random timeline that did not have the Chronosphere project. The fusion was initiated and nothing could stop it, mixing parts of the world randomly... only Einstein & the people that used the time machine know that this was caused by the Chronosphere technology.
Where there once were lush green forests and giant urban centers, there are now only abandoned ruins of cities and gigantic fields of an unknown green plant, littered with unknown creatures... but this mutation does not happen to the entire planet.
This Chrono effect happened before GDI’s ultimate invasion of the Nod base at Cairo, where Kane is. He escaped in a subterranean transport to an unknown stealthed base to re-group the Nod army and collect data on the recent event...
