Read the news thread, was left a little unclear of what was actually happening.
Are you merging to become one mod or both using artwork in both projects?
If it becomes one mod, whose gameplay mechanic will you use? I've not looked closely at TFH but I tried out Blitzreig II and have to say I wasn't overly impressed. Just my opinion though.
Either way, it seems rather more one sided towards the Blitzkreig Team than the TFH team. However, if it gets both teams to a release, then I can only think of it as good news for the community.
Just some of my thoughts
GT
The merger

Blitzkrieg's gameplay could be well improved if their tech system wasn't so one-sided (for whoever gets to airplanes first), the teams were balanced, and turtling (and generally the fact that defending reaps bigger rewards than offence) wasn't so bad. Hopefully TFH can put this right.

(phoib again)
The turtling issiues were already being handled, as well as the current concentration on planes.

Simple, you stay in your base and turtle, you run out of money.
You only get cash by controlling the villages/towns on the map, this produces intense battles for the villages/towns and the sooner you get your infantry into those battles, the sooner you get promoted and then the tanks come along
However, if you stay in your base and surround yourself with snipers, promotions take a long time to come...
