Defcon: The Next Step

I believe that with what we have now, a few additions and some promotion and
BAM
everybody will be playing this.
So, what is needed for Defcon?
AESTHETIC
-New tread skins for the vehicles
-Some more varied architecture
-the infantry could look a bit different
-some rigging errors; shells do not exit gun barrels
-a little variety with the Ebres vehicle skins might be nice; gray-black camo perhaps
GAMEPLAY
-everything has increased range, but sight isn't, usually negating your artillery; this needs to be fixed, perhaps with a Scout or Forward Air Observer unit
-garrisoning buildings actually lessens the range of troops; this is bad, especialyl because the AI loves to garrison buildings
-another financial source is needed to sustain a game; perhaps capturable supply drops?
OTHER ADDITIONS
-third side (Egyria) or at least several third-side units for campaign purposes (note that I'd post the Egyria info I wrote up earlier but its in the staff forum... and mastermind, for some reason, took staff access from me...)
-missions/campaign (I drafted a tutorial-esque mission, but mastermind never got to it)
-more base defenses
-more and more of a variety of units (vertiplanes? tilt-rotor transports? controllable strategic bombers?)
-more Defcon!
Comrade Alexeo
P.S. Note that I created a Power Point outlining the campaign and also for propaganda puposes, which was to be converted into a video but as of yet hasn't :(

I'd love to do that, but it's a lot of models to do.AESTHETIC
-New tread skins for the vehicles
-Some more varied architecture
-the infantry could look a bit different
Those bugs are fixed for the next version. We'll see about the skins. I personally like them the way they are.-some rigging errors; shells do not exit gun barrels
-a little variety with the Ebres vehicle skins might be nice; gray-black camo perhaps
Infantry have a large LOS compared to other units. This gives them a use.GAMEPLAY
-everything has increased range, but sight isn't, usually negating your artillery; this needs to be fixed, perhaps with a Scout or Forward Air Observer unit
This was a balance decision, but will likely be revised in the patch. The patch will include a couple of new units to clear buildings earlier.-garrisoning buildings actually lessens the range of troops; this is bad, especialyl because the AI loves to garrison buildings
We'll see.-another financial source is needed to sustain a game; perhaps capturable supply drops?
No. Too much work, not really worth it.OTHER ADDITIONS
-third side (Egyria) or at least several third-side units for campaign purposes (note that I'd post the Egyria info I wrote up earlier but its in the staff forum... and mastermind, for some reason, took staff access from me...)
There is an extreme lack of mappers and scripters to achieve this.-missions/campaign (I drafted a tutorial-esque mission, but mastermind never got to it)
Next patch.-more base defenses
The patch will include a few new units, including at least 1 new infantry, and a new helicopter. Beyond that, we'll see.-more and more of a variety of units (vertiplanes? tilt-rotor transports? controllable strategic bombers?)
We'll see about this as well, as currently no campaign is planned for release.P.S. Note that I created a Power Point outlining the campaign and also for propaganda puposes, which was to be converted into a video but as of yet hasn't :(
Too cute! | Server Status: If you can read this, it's up |Well, when it comes to writing an expository essay about counter-insurgent tactics, I'm of the old school. First you tell them how you're going to kill them. Then you kill them. Then you tell them how you just killed them.
