:)

Features:
- You can play Zero Hour and Contra on the same computer, without using multiple installs
- Nice exe file with icon to launch Contra

Installation:
1. Copy contra.exe to your zero hour directory
2. Go to the scripts folder and rename contra's SkirmishScripts.scb to ContraSkirmishScripts.scb
2b. Put the original ZH SkirmishScripts.scb in the script folder
2. Make a new folder in your zero hour directory and call it "Mods"
3. Copy Contra.big and generals.csf to "Mods" folder
4. Rename Contra.big to Contra.pak
5. Now you can play Contra with contra.exe and Zero Hour with generals.exe, no hassle :p or you can make a shortcut to contra.exe, it all works

And how do i customize it to other mods? I have some other mods that need to be in ZH folder too, because of features like ai scripts, etc

ok, so you have an idea now. The Nova Mod Swapper is useful, but his scripts are hard to create using the interface, and it lacks documentation.

If you make you tool able to read it instructions from a text file, more mod creators could use it, and that will be the end of "noob" questions on the forums. :)

What is about language support? Will the game see the new "english.csf" file?

yeah it copies the csf from mods folder to data\english folder and then deletes it when the game terminates

Yes, I would like to use it in future release, but first I want to ask you to make some changes:
1) ScirmishScripts.scb must be in Mods/Contra/ folder. Launcher have to move it to Data/Scripts/
2) Launcher have to move Contra.big to "My documents/Generals Zero Hour Data/" and run the game with the key "-mod Contra". Otherwise some people will have troubles.

Because some people get standard Generals error message when they put "big" files into the real folder.

"-mod Contra" is needed to launch the mod when the "big" file is in "My Documents"

PS: And please make dialog based application instead of console one.

oh but the "Mods" folder contains Contra.pak which is later renamed to Contra.big when used.. so its fine.

and i cant program in c++ therefore i cant make a dialog based launcher.. what i can do is hide the dialog and let everything be automatic, but then they wont understand why it takes soo long to load

If you can't make dialog based applications then better I will make it. Also the launcher have to acces windows registry to locate "My dcuments" folder properly. I think you don't know how to access registry too. Am I right?

I can't change contra.big to contra.pak. It calls it contra.pak

Hey creator since you are also on the rise of the reds team could you make a launcher that would allow both mods to work together. that would be great.:lol:
