I was watching some RoTK EE commentary yesterday, and Eowyn's riding dress (from where they're leaving Edoras) really caught my eye. So of course, I decided to make it. And as this would make 6 on-foot random skins for Eowyn, I'd have to make another for Arwen to even the score.
Actually, having these two new skins has made the randomness of the different dresses perfect. This is because each of them have two random models, each of those having 3 random skins (it used to be 3 and 2 random skins, making the chances of getting certain dresses different). The limit of only being able to do the skin (ie no mapping changes) explains the slight stretching on Eowyn's skin.
So all in all, this makes 16 Arwen and Eowyn skins (6 on-foot for each; 2 riding for Arwen; 1 armoured for each).
So anyway, as I said before Eowyn's dress is dubbed the Riding dress. The only screen time it gets is during the Eowyn/Aragorn scene before Merry "gives his sword" to Theoden. I really like the dark colours and the loads of trim (I heart skinning trim). Arwen's is her Cranberry gown, and I don't think you see anything but the neck line in the movie (TTT), as she wears it in the "kissy-dreamy sequence" when Aragorn washes up on shore. I added trim to the bottom of the dress because it was quite boring without (as the model couldn't hold the true shape of the dress, which is (according to some costume site) the main intrigue of the dress).
w00t! Reply 200 in my thread!
