There also seems to be shit loads of dead Russes... like in dow there's mountains of the things everywhere that leads me to suspect their retarded commander sent the poor tank crews out alone while the guard just stayed at the barracks :rolleyes:

What was that ey Cal, LD 10? Doubt it. Perhaps he commanded them to but they decided their own lives deserved a tad more preservation after they got whooped by the orks in the first campaign ^^

A little update on my work thus far, The first real preview of a map is pretty much all done, maybe like 5 miinutes to check everything.

Ive already started on the concept sketch of the guardsman facing the walled city.

However some of my ideas for making manufactoriums so im going with a standard city.

Its pretty much all dont terrain wise, with hills and such.

Remaining will be plotting out the city and texturing, but thats the easy stuff, so expect another screen probably monday or tuesday.

y'kow... if I put together the maps i've started and not finished i'd have close to that number:P

well... no... not really.. not at all... but at least another map...

and yeah, the public don't need to know every tiny detail crimson... they want pictures and explosionses!

Oh, sev:

currently we have:

1 two player map (Over The Line)
2 four player maps (The Ultimate Gate and The Nexus)
1 six player map (Cold Blood

however, I have 2 more four player maps approaching ready (well.. .sorta)

and crimson is making multiplayer maps until the AI is ready or he dies of old age (the latter more likley)...

so to answer your question.... at least 7 or 8... probably more :blush:

I was just tryin to keep em updated torn, I had a concept sketch up here, and I wanted to explain why it wasnt going to be implemented, so people didnt think i renig'd on them.

next map is just about done, its just gettin the final tweakage, and such it will be up in screen shots prolly tommorow, if i dont got a horrirble hang over.

To assure you i have not just dissapeared into a drunken stooper i have still been workin and have the begining of another map to preview, it requires a bit more texturing and some objects money and ittle be set to rumble.

On the topic of acid map, using the word map in a maps name is as bad as describing an adjective by using the same adjective... like saying "cold means cold"... so.. .err...

Could you re-name it without the word map in it please :rolleyes:

As a general rule there should be at least 6 oil derricks per player, 4 at the base and 2 nearby, but at a distance to draw out the player. On top of that you can add a few more, but generally no more than 7 or 8 oil derricks per player. (Balance wise it works best that way.)

There's 13 per player on Acid Map, so could you remove a good few of them please... sorry to be a nuisance :ninja:

That new map looks very fucking cool by the way ;)

As regards to a name, how about "Veneration".

Understood calamity, I like veneration. I gotta work on it tho, ill adjust it tho. But calamity the acid map is for 4 players, perhaps you think its only 2 polayers, regardless ill take a look.

what I meant was per player... regardless of the number of players...

i took the total number of oil derricks and divided them by the number of players.. .mean average... and it should be in the region of 5 or 6 :p
