@Link
I agree. I have no doubt there is life out there. I just doubt that they've been here.

Liffe is definately out there. If you compute the 196 billion light years distance that is the diameter of the Universe, there has to be life.

People keep saying that the odds are stacked so high against life forming that we're the only ones. Slight problem: They failed to take into account that there are enough planets for every possible combination of variables. And there are a lot more than one combination to make life.

EDIT::
Area 51 is a research facility for the USAF. Period...its like their bizzare aircraft testing facility.
However i saw somthing on the History Channel that was talking about this incident in England at a USAF base...it was freakin crazy (seeing as how the Base Commanders 2nd in Command saw it)

I saw that. Bentwaters AFB. The CIA had to take a USAF officer who went into the woods with a research team into custody. He came out with only brief recollections of the event.
They went out there with all different types of equipment and a tape recorder. One of the things reported was an above average radiation level. Eventually they made their way to the 'UFO' (I say UFO for it's literal meaning, unidentified flying object. I'm not saying it is an extraterrestrial craft.) . He walked up to it and touched it (according to his recording, which parts are missing from.). It later rose up, fired a beam-like 'laser' at their feet, and flew away. Everyone says he saw the nearby lighthouse. They went back in the morning. There were indentations in the soil similiar to some landing gear type thing. Twas strange.

E-Ring: Bunch of guys working at the Pentagon
NCIS: Crime show with a great lineup of characters, almost rivals Stargate SG-1
Lost: Bunch of guys lost on an island after a plane crash, someone broke out the guns a while back so all hell might break loose
24: A cool counter-terrorism show where each episode is one hour (hence the clock every 5 minutes) and each season is 24 hours. The result? They had a terrorist nuclear missile in the air for about three episodes until they found it by interrogating some terrorists and sending up a plane to shoot it down. But they pissed off the Chinese in the process for the next season.
Surface: Some crazy group of people discovers a race of giant amphibian lizards that tend to swallow 40-foot boats whole with no warning (except the fact that the shark they just caught has the back end missing, happened to me with a snapper a few times)
