Basically Titans are the rarest of war machines, and were created to destroy anything that moves. And they're huge.. we will prolly not have em.


Also - Titans were used mainly as a last resort if the last line defense was breeched during an invasion, in the era of the RTS DoW and WA only one titan remains operational and that was the Hammer varient which was the ultimate of the titans. :p But, you were close hehe, I love the land raider, an tho delayed I am, it just dosn't look right without its manly door chimes ("spikes")

though I must admit... spikes do make things look coool... the chaos warhound titan pwns!

edit: just read that you mean the frag grenade things on the front... but meh, spikes = chaos... [bring out the execution laspistol commisar.. somebody needs shootin'...]

edit 2: now I relise you meant the grappling hook on the front ramp.. I honestly didn't even notice their lack.. so who cares.. :D

Is the red scorpion commando guy gonna replace boba fett? Since boba fett has a jetpack and so the red scorpion guy. And I would imagine it would be easier to do that since there actually is a workable jetpack coding in the game. Unlike in generals, quote that post i made about the jetpack in the other forum.

-By the way, havent seen many Space Marine space units. Can you give us a little taste of the voodoo that you guys doo?

Just out of personal interest...is there any particular reason you specifically chose the Ultramarine chapter for both OW mods? Also isn't that affected by remaps in any way?

As said, just personal random intrigue. Feel free to dismiss this post entirely :)

I still don't think we've fully decided which shapter to use :)

There was a thing about the ultramarines, because they so rigidly follow the codex, making it easy for people to pick up and play, but then the dark angels were discussed, as were space wolves, so its all still up in the air really :cool:

Actually Ultramarines will be the main chapter when you play the 1 player campaign, but you will be able to recruit other chapter marines from specific worlds.

And we may possibly make it so that the marines change color depending on what team color you choose in skirmish and multiplay.

one thing i was thinking about was that if you made the space wolfs in you could possbly put in there primarch because he is the only one who is definatly alvie and not in statis so you could put him in as a high cost unit that would be nerly unstopable in land battles and uses the biggest ship in the fleet for space battles like palpatine and tarkin. Sort of like the death star but he costs more as you would still get all the planets recoces if you used him

maby the killteam shoud be som special troops for the imperial guard or space marines

yeah the killteam would be good as a special unit for the Imperial Gaurd with a fixed limit on how many your allowed but if you do that team colour chapter switching thing that would be cool then i would always pick grey so that its the space wolves :excl: but i like the idea that you can recruit special chapter specific units on different planets so would that be like grey hunters on fenris? oh and Ali there is no proof that Leman Russ is alive he isnt seen any where he supposeldy went of into deep space to return at the last battle agaisnt the evil one so this could mean he is dead. and about titans the warhound is big yes but not too big about the size Of an AT-AT in scale of people and that isnt that big you could easily have them in game

Will the other Ships of the Space Marines be made,like their Escorts,if so which type Foreworlds or the rather newer GW releaces?

And for the Imperial Navy will there be more of their ships like the FireStorm Escorts or the Dictator Fleet Carriers? :shiftee:

Would Space Marine be deployed Drop Pods or Thunder Hawks?

Also is there a way to "Deep Strike" Land Reserves? Basicly a Special Ability that Deployes outside the LZ. Risk of scattering into terrain and getting destroyed.

Well my first idea of adding a Titan would be to have some giant pop from one random side of the screen crushing and blasting a path from one end of the map and then to the other. But that seemes a little too dificult

Another idea is to have a Titan act as a land super weapon where a timer is placed till Titan is deployed. When that Timer reaches to Zero it is an automatic victory.
Atackers need to hold a specific Reenforcment point. If the Defenders overrunn that point and attackers fail to secure a hardpoint then the adaptus mechanicus will not risk one of their most holy and preciesous war machine to be squandered by an inept commander.
Defenders need to protect the Titan as it powers up. The Atackers get a chance to destroy it before it becomes activated then they can remove the titan that way.

Problem with the second idea is what happens when you get Titan vs Titan. Well lets save the Titans for an expansion then till we figure out the gameplay and other technical features.

Some questions:
1. Will there be the same mixed squads like in OW1 or will there be like bolter marine squads, missile marine squads, etc? (I love the Devastator squads, they have lasguns that are uber powerful and those things that look like fuel rod guns)
2. How are you going to get the garrison code without FoC? Is OW2 going to be for FoC, or are you going to make the trasports deploy like the AT-AT?
3. What kind of grounded aerial units such as the snowspeeder going to be included?
4. I know that each faction has a dedicated anti-infantry turret, AA turret and anti-vehicle turret so that works out perfectly for Eaw, but are you going to include all of these? But how will you guys go about recreating the Bacta Tanks, Vehicle Repair Stations, and sensor hubs? Because it may not seem like anyone uses them, but youd be suprised.

Ill have more for you later and thanks for any info you can give me. Keep up the great work guys! =)

we could use those bacta tanks just make them different for each side so

chaos = Some sort of chaos shrine heals units in area
Imps = maybe a medic tent or something like that
Space marines = umm
Necy = Shrines or tombs
Men who do nothing but dream should just stay in their dreams forever !!!!
Be Afraid Rodger Smith this dream isnt going to end till i bring your life to a end !!
