And I know about Czechoslovakia and a number of those other points. I more referred to their current standing, but if you want to get picky enough that you resort to cold-war maps, so be it. The form is different, but the method is the same.
And Xeno, nobody would care if Yuri took the Isle of Wight. There's not a brain there to dominate. Same for the Isle of Man...
Ireland can be Soviet. Just for the laugh.

I know. But it's sure as heck not an Allied-ish side. I had to put it somewhere Plus most of South America seems anti-American (and rightly so)...besides, I'd expect the Soviets, if they're pushing up through Mexico, to try and rally the support of the South American areas such as Argentina to back me up.Argentina has never been Soviet, nor should it be in RA2...?!
Lol...Ireland was actually rather close to a Communist revolution not so long ago, IIRC. I wouldn't really classify the Irish Republic as Allied. You live in the Northern half. You count as Great BritainEDIT: Ireland... Soviet, you insult me!
Going by the usual Soviet country choices, its either dead 'communist' nations, or nations bereft with trouble and strife (Iraq, Libya). Argentina and Ireland both fit into the latter category.

I know this might sound offensive but it is true; Ireland is predominately Catholic and generally Catholics are extremely opposed to communism. Ireland is too conservative to be a peddler in Soviet ideology.
For Soviet countries...I think a better definition would be countries that are either communist (Russia), staunchly anti-Western (Libya) or a rogue regime (Burma).

Hell, even in the Falklands war, their equipment was purchased from Nato countries, not Warsaw Pact nations!

That being said, I have finished China, Vietnam and Laos on the regular loading screen. With flags.
