Well, while the external silence has been deafening, the internal workings of Blitz II continue to grind on. A lot's been happening lately as a matter of fact.

Now, on to the substance. First off, there's been what would outwardly appear to be significant change in the Blitz II leadership structure. Due to time and attention constraints, Biohazard has stepped down as the sole “leader” of Blitzkrieg II. Instead, a sort of three-part leadership system has been devised, with Phoib, Korona and killakanz as the “honchos”. This new system has been in place and working for the past three weeks at this point. Biohazard will remain for the forseeable future an active senior member of the team, doing what he's always done best – audio and polish. However, with the more active Korona, killa and Phoib in charge of giving orders, things should move quicker than ever now!

... And, Bio's brought some parting gifts... Today, showcased for your viewing pleasure, the KV-1 and KV-2 heavy tanks, and some teaser screenshots from the Russian-perspective Battle of Kursk mission! These tanks were skinned by SimoK as a parting gift of his own, as he's unfortunately going to be leaving us, for the time being, due to more pressing real world matters. He'll surely be missed.

The Kursk mission is an impressive piece of work as well, planned by Logan Hartke and built by Pivac. The levels of destruction this mission will bring easily rival most multiplayer online games. I've played it three dozen times and it's exciting every time. Better yet, we'll be releasing it to the public soon...

Also, the ever-gung-ho MarshallAlex has been working on a technical support/map downloader program for Blitzkrieg II that you all may find interesting. Until all the kinks have been worked out of the system though, you can download a bunch of great multiplayer maps here! Included are the currently unnamed masterpiece maps “88” and “99” by Dr. Shrinker.

As a final note from Biohazard;

it's been really awesome leading this project for as long as I have, and I only regret that I didn't do more. I'm lucky to have had such a great and dedicated core staff and so many supporters along the way. Blitz wouldn't have gotten anywhere without them.

Nice one Bio, the end of a lagacy. :)

Where's the new infantry? I'm sick of seeing conscripts with AK-47s for M1 Garands. And give them some throwing animations for the molatov cocktails.
