And yes, optical mice rule, but they must be wired. Batteries suck. Every company's boasting 'zomg cordless mouse' when I think: 'no! shove it up your arse!'
Do any of you people use trackballs for gaming? I know a couple of friends who swear by the trackball.

Trackball? Wtf, who would wanna use one of them?
Extra buttons I can understand. Having a mouse that doesn't actually move I can't.
Some people use them for FPS games, as it makes it easier to turn around. I know they're normally for disabled ppl who don't have full use of their arm (but if they can't do that...why are they at a computer?), but some people use them as it gives them a faster rate of turn.
Me? I'd much rather play with a regular mouse.

Admiral GT: That computer you have is a beast man. I'm probably going to go dual core within the next year. Will probably be my next upgrade after a DX10 card. I just wish they would come out.

How can a battery smaller than my little finger be damaging to the environment? o_O
More to the point, I think the computer is most damaging to the environment. The amount of coal being burned every millisecond to keep all our computers running...

I have a microsoft graphite wireless optical mouse, I just bought some rechargeable bateries and replace them every month, it only takes one AA.
And reality computers use very little electricity while running they use the most energy when turning on and off.

And no, not fuck the environment. If we don't work on it a little bit, our raw materials will soon be depleted.

And if our resources deplete, we'll move onto nuclear and/or hydrogen power. We won't suddenly be blasted to the stone-age.
Anyway...back to topic, if I ever were to get one of the new-fangled graphics cards, as long as they were PCI-E (same as my current one is), would they all still work, or is there some other requirement (I'm a bit of a dumbass when comes to this sorta stuff )
