Mine:
128MB RAM
1.7 GHz Intel Pentium 4 (No HT)
Everything else doesn't matter. I only use it for programming and email.

I've seen as much as 12 GB. That was in a server though. No real reason to have more than 1 or 2 GB in a home PC. Even on a gaming rig.

Unless it was 64 bit, 12 gig is impossible in XP.

NVIDIA GeForce 6150 graphics card
Gratz for COMPLETELY owning your computer with integrated graphics. 4gb of ram means nothing when you haven't actually got a proper graphics card.

That's with XP. XP sucks anyways
If I had 12GB, I'd get some VMware and run XP for games, Cent OS, Red Hat, HP-UX, and another XP just for kicks.
That would be amazing.

except for games. Then VMWare == shit.
I could use another couple gig in the rig I use for VMWare, it's only got 1 gig, and running a VM with 768MB of RAM is kinda slow at first. But once it gets going I've got 2 copies of Visual C++ 2005 Express Edition and a copy of C# 2005 Express Edition going without any problem, and I can use the other desktop as long as I'm not trying to do too much. I'll post pics and specs at some future date when I feel like cleaning up and throwing batteries in my camera.

True, my GFX card sucks, but I don't have the funds to upgrade that yet.
Maybe you should of thought about that before adding a needless 4gb of ram.

I also had a PCI FX5500. It was great for DX 8.1 games. It just rolled over and died if you tried to play a DX 9 game though.
I've been considering upgrading to 2 gigs of RAM for a while, but I'll probalby wait and see if the prices come down any more in the next few months.
