the game will never take these sorta textures and models whats the poly count of those vehicles??!!
if I can't have three Battallions of gondor soldiers with a poly count of 2000 in the window without lagging then this will be uber uber lagy :(

IA II and us at GaW are really strict about poly counts. Most vehicles are from 1000-1700 poly count range, a couple are less, a couple more. Infantry are 600-900. (Just for comparison, these are less polys than some BFME II units). Textures for infantry will be 256, and heroes will be 256 and 512. (for comparison, less than some BFME II units). So you really shouldn't have any more problem playing GaW than BFME II right now.

The reason the textures look higher in detail than they are is becuase I start out with 1024 or 512, then after I'm done I resize them. This helps keep the detail while still staying the small texture size.
Also, check out our forums again! www.galaxyatwar.the3rdage.net/forums there is a new update. Feel free to register and comment on them and try to find out what role they will play in land battles.
