Finding Building Models

Just curious, is there any easier way of finding building models (i.e a previewer or some sort of guide to where what is located) than scrolling endlessly through the w3d folder?
Side question: Any ideas what I am constantly seeing "INI:Missing" etc. when I'm in game testing mod, even though I've throughly been over the lotr.str file and added descriptions etc.?
Cheers and cheers,
Toodle-oo.

If you know what model you're looking for, you can go to the buildings ini file.Sup

Did you add it to data\lotr.str?Side question: Any ideas what I am constantly seeing "INI:Missing" etc. when I'm in game testing mod, even though I've throughly been over the lotr.str file and added descriptions etc.?

As for the INI:Missing thing, I have added to lotr.str and the 'data' if you just mean extracted ini.big. I get the same error no matter what I'm creating a tool tip, description or name for it no matter how many times I go over the code. Just wondering wether theres a trick to it. Might also be worth noting that a downloaded mod that added a 'Fellowship' faction had the same errors when I played it on my comp. Maybe a fault installation on my part or something?
Thanks for your response!

You could try to extract the w3d BIG file, and delet all anims and unneeded models (ie. building fundations, walls etc.) and load that into a big file... Then there aren't that much to scroll throughNo, I don't know the model I'm looking for. What I'm trying to do is find a suitable building for, say a barracks but I don't have any specific models in mind so I'd like to be able to 'browse' all the building models to try and find something appropriate. Just wondering if thats possible.
Do you mod in the game directory, a mod directory or a big file in application data?As for the INI:Missing thing, I have added to lotr.str and the 'data' if you just mean extracted ini.big. I mod in a big folder placed in Application Data. I have a shortcut to the big file on my desktop, so I can easily upload newly modded files to it. All the ini/model/skin files I have is in a folder on the desktop, so when I wanna mod, I just open the folder, mods alittle, loads up the custom big file and put the modded files in. Then I use the custom shortcut. Easy as pie

The problem was probably that you edited the wrong lotr.str. There are several. The game only uses the latest, which right now is located in 'englishpatch103.big'. Either just delete the patchversion from the big-file or overwrite it. Compiling a mod-big would be the best solution though.
