OK, I've been working on this one for some time now, but as I lost interest in some other mods for different games I started before AFTER announcing them, I decided to wait until I'm only a few days away from the first beta until I tell anybody. The beta (I only have to do some lotr.str editing and learn how to use that "-mod" command) will include one new faction, no new models or sounds as I'm not very good at modeling. I'll be looking for some skinners & modelers after the release of this beta... anyway, here are some first screenshots:
I'll post some further information later.

Is it a hobbit mod? Anyway, I thought i'd tell you how -mod command works
It depends where you place your modded files. If you place them in the BFME folder in Application data, all you have to do is add
EXAMPLES
Appdata
Folder
If you don't use a big file, but put files in a folder, just remove the .big exension, if the files are in a folder called HeroMod.
Hope it helps

after the quotes in the target box. If you place the modded files in ANY other folder, you must place the whole filepath after the -mod-mod *name of your folder/big file* (a space before "-mod")
EXAMPLES
Appdata
"C:\Programfiler\Electronic Arts\The Battle for Middle-earth (tm) II\lotrbfme2.exe" -mod HeroMod.big
Folder
"C:\Programfiler\Electronic Arts\The Battle for Middle-earth (tm) II\lotrbfme2.exe" -mod "C:\Programfiler\Electronic Arts\The Battle for Middle-earth (tm) II\lotrbfme2.exe\Mods\HeroMod.big"

Frodo: I wish the Ring had never come to me... I wish none of this had happened...
Gandalf: So do all who live to see such times, but that is not for them to decide. All you have to decide, is what to do with the time that is given to you...

*Bump*
Just wanted to say the first beta is also available for downloading at modd.com (http://mods.moddb.co...e-for-grollins/). It would be great if someone could give me some feedback so I can improve the balance (first improvments will be rather easy because the balance is a total mess right now)
