Hey guys, I decided to come back and im thinking about making a total recretion mod on FF7. Although I created one mod already, i'm still a rookie at modding. What do you guys think I should do?

1st: Validate your e-mail.
2nd: If you are a modeler, skinner, coder and animator go ahead. If not, wait at least a few months before attempting something this big.

i was talking to somebody the other day about a ff7 mod, cant remember who it was but i dont personally think its a very good idea (no offence) why not start by joining an already moving mod and then after you get better leave and go your own way?

(just my opinion judging from experience XD)

Not a bad idea but just ff7? why not throw in a few more and give it a better mixture.

Don't think Square-Enix'd be too happy about this.

Who cares...In this world a game company has to be realistic.

A: free, non profit - mod, no cost to Square, + free publicity for Advent Children and dirge of cerberus
B: crush mod like a bug, and cause huge community backlash, and cause a lot of people to no longer buy square game.

And as for FF7 as an RTS, it could work really well, youve got 2 main factions (Avalanche and Shinra) plenty of cool heroes, and the best video game villain ever....Sephiroth....

Maybe somebody else should make it and I could come up with the ideas, map locations, storyline, and fractions

@Argolis i knew you would have something to say in this matter lmfao.

@legolas maybe, i wouldnt bet on it tho. Once we finish our mod(another month or so) i might have a chat to argolis and we'll see whether its worth deploying our forces down into this mod (ok our 4 man team). Why not join another mod team until it comes out, that way you can give realistic ideas lol. A lot of ideas people (unless ur eldarion) are frankly useless because they dont know whats possible and what isnt etc.

Personally i dont think final fantasy is a good base for a mod for an RTS. I just couldnt imagine it wroking well. Although hey i hate the FF series so maybe im jus bias again it.
If i was thinkin of making a FF mod id make it for jedi academy. seems the right sort of game to me
