Hi all!
I've been doing some models for a friend who is working with Director.
It uses a w3d file type which 3d Studio Max will not export to.
I tried downloading an exporter from canDo, but i guess it is just an exporter fixer.
were can i find a free exporter?
like the application on the Director 8.5 installation disk... can someone with Director 8.5 send me that file?
"The exporter is a plug-in for 3D Studio Max. It operates from within the 3D Max application and allows you to save work created in Max as a W3D file for use in Shockwave 3D."

Sorry, you're using the wrong type of W3D. The W3D this site refers to is Westwood 3D, not Shockwave W3D.

Actually, 3DS Max from 5 up I think are shipped with a standard Shockwave 3D Exporter. Most of us who have Max here should have one, but probably doesn't know.
