People have been purposely focused to be conscious of this situation because they want people to direct their attention and energy towards the middle east either as hatred towards israel or to help create a situation that is a little different from before. The media has purposely put more into this conflict that before, there has to be a reason, unless they haven;t got anything else "better" to report on.

*Sings along to "We're Only Gonna Die For Our Arrogance"*

I hope the UN passes a resolution against Israel soon, the US doesn't have to vote for it, just abstain for christs sakes, this is insane. Some 200 civilians killed... over a few kidnapped soldiers that probably could've been returned peacefully... I wonder how the hell anyone could think this is worth it. Christ, is there any way Israel could make their expansionism any more blatent? Well, grab a rifle or head for shelter kids.

The whole situation is happening, not because any one person has caused it, but because it is supposed to be happening. Two sides, two pawns, you may think a few hundred dead is bad just wait until the knights start fighting.

And by making us conscious of it (the media playing its correct role) we are giving it more energy thus creating it as a reality through fear and hatred. Once people start calling it "World War III" the universe and elite will respond by allow it to happen. The media has more power with us consciously believing it that we think. All they need to do now is wait for Iran to get involved and they get their way. With Iraq also purposely being driven towards civil war by false flag operations of MI5, MI6 and the CIA then i expect it won't take much for the Kurds and other peoples of iraq to start declaring "independance." The middle east has and is being cracked apart and its worrying to say the least.

Has anyone pointed out the fact that Hezbol abducted 2 soldiers and killed 7 more in the process of starting this. Than they fired over 300 rockets the first day alone after Israel retaliated.

They are far from innocent. And if you lead a nation what would you have done? In total they've fired over 700 rockets into Israel. And know it is known that many these rockets are laden with ball bearings, built only by Syria.

Yet Syria says they haven't armed Hezbol. It's one arab lie after another. Palestinian militants using human shields, than when israel bombs them, they claim "See Israel kills innocent civilians" yeah no shit dickwads.

And let's not rule out that this all started from IRan having Hezbol start this to deflect attention from it's own issues.

You people are swallowing this poor arab crap hook line and sinker. Now tell me if your nation had some terrorists commandos sneak across the border kill some troops, abduct others. Sure you'll retaliate, Then they send over 300 rockets in one day, that's a full out attack on Israel. What would you do? Negotiate? :p

I understand what your saying, however the problem is that Lebannon was starting to become a safe bet for the USA if problems arised because of Lebanon's recent problems with Syria. This has the potential to ruin that. Either way, Our entrance into this arena would cause horrible effects in the Arab community and We could be facing a full blown Middle-East war.

Furthermore, this thing will spill out into Libya and Sudan as well as Yemen as all our firendly with Iran, not to mention infuriating to Iraqis. Once Africa is involved our African friends like Kenya and Ethiopia and Algeria would have to get invoved and the thing blows up into full scale international war.

This the becomes a problem becasue it will take our focus off of North Korea and that could prove highly dangerous.

also hostile, you have to remember that this conflict would most likely never have gone so far if Israel had been more prudent in their counter-attack on the Gaza strip because of their kidnapped soldier there. its the disproportionate answer to the violence brought upon the Palestinians by the Israelis that most likely caused the attack from hezbollah from south lebanon.

and whatever the Israelis might say about the Hezbollah rockets and attacks on civillians, the numbers still isnt on their side, even if 25% of the killed were used as human shields. they have killed over 200 as of yet, and lost under20 themselves.

You don't believe all that propaganda do you hostile, really now? Hezbol is most likely a false flag operative, its getting ridiculous now. Hes prolly funded by the CIA, MI5, MI6, i trust nothing when the media or government says it. These are the very organisations that helped set up 9/11 and 7/7, why would no be any different. Next they will say Iran helped arm Hezbol.

I'm not gunna pretend i know whats going on in the middle east regardless of what i said above, but i find it hard to believe this crap anymore. Corruption of our government in the past century and before has helped to cause this, as well as the ignorance of ourselves and our peoples.

Where ever there is war, the elite and rich win, the people lose. Who ever is fighting, elite transactions for oil, weapons etc etc is still going on. Billions are being made from the deaths of innocence, there is no reason to support these wars. The only war i will support is to remove the corrupt from power.

First of all why are we calling it hezbol, and secondly why are people referring to it as a person. Hezballah (also hezbollah) simply means House of God. Finally, I dont think they are being funded by anyone but other networking groups. Tom you dont honestly believe that the western agencies have the money to fund every little group that attacks something in the middle east do you? No, they have something much better than that. It is called propaganda. The middle east is just under as much propaganda as we are. They are being told to hate the west just like we are being told to hate the middle east. They dont even need to fund these groups, becuase the groups get their funding from people who believe in them. Everyone is all buying into the lies, and the media is helping.

And I suppose using nuclear weapons will bring them fame and fortune. Pff, the aids from the US that they're getting should stop at a whim because of world opinion. They'd be alone surrounded by legions of arabs. I'd be funny.

Let me paint a picture for you, over 200 deaths in Lebanon... 14 of them were not civilians. Hezbollah has killed 24 people, half of them have been civilians. Not to mention Israel hardly seems to be trying to hit Hezbollah positions, instead mainly consentrating on Lebanon's infastructure such as roads, bridges, ports, factories and gas stations.

Jsmooth: Are you willing to rule out such a possibility indefinately with the amount of proof that has not been released that could perhaps prove him wrong? There is a whole documentary on this, and it's purpose it open people's minds.

let him believe whatever he wants to believe. i also have questions about the dedication of the US government to stop those planes from hitting their targets, but i don't go around talking too much about the new world order and how every elite is conspiring against the common man.

but thats not the topic here really. 208 civilians and 22 soldiers killed by Israelis as of yet. 4 brazilians, 7 (4 children) half-lebanon half Canadian, and 4 half German civillians killed(among others).

Twelve Israeli soldiers were killed, two captured.
13 Israeli civilians have been killed.

better pray for israel's victory, if not your next.

as far as i'm concerned its Israels history of abuse against the arabs that have gotten them into this situation. the Us is not popular in the middle east because of their support to Israel. if Israel were attacked, it would be the best for all of us to let them fight their own war, and not get painted with the same brush as them.

Dude. Your wealth of paranoia is truly impressive. The middle east won't embark on a crusade. It's the other way around, it's the christians that constantly come bothering them. Hence why they hate them so much. Then there is Israel who would be content only if they nuked all the arabs into oblivion. And it's not even their own land they are sitting on! It's arabian land. So why doesn't the world make a logical decision to avert a 3rd world war - you know - give the arabs back their land? Because Israel is abusing the power they got. End of story.

Just the fact that Israel is willing to set up a border zone is proof that they are legitimately defending themselves. If they wanted to conquer other countries, they would simply state that a ceasefire is insufficient and keep going. They came up with the idea of a border zone to begin with...

They were reaching towards Palestine to begin with. They are the cause of this conflict, because the Hamas was willing to talk. At which point they just started bombing the hell out of everything, all because of 1 soldier abducted who probably would've been returned alive. They we're looking for a scapegoat to blame for their plans of conquest. Or at least beating up the competition a little and stirring up enough tension so that somebody invades them first - and then they can go sobbing to the UN to help them in against a "unprovoked attack". Since Iran is the only one capable they will probably get the blame.

I would be content if the UN just decided that there is going to be no more Israel on the map, just like they decided there is going to be one some 50 years ago.

EDIT: Spence, your argument is officially null and void right now. Israel has attacked Liban an hour ago. They are out for conquest. They should be shown their place.
