[Bernie]

Kelly peered over the crate she was now hiding behind, looking over at Darkman.

"C'mon idiot, jump down the bloody hole so I can follow you. That way, I can find 'Him'. He was with them before anyway, I saw him...I'm sure of it."

Kelly lowered her head, waiting for the sound of Darkman falling.

[Copaman]

Ryn had forgotten about the flashlight that he had gotten from Harvey up until now. He brought it out and turned it on.

Darkman leaned over the hole.

"This is absolutely ridiculous. If Yuri jumped off a fucking bridge, I can safely say I'd have a lot of drowned people on my hands. Having fun down there?" Darkman crouched lower and peered into the rift. "And shouldn't I do something wit these computers? They've got to have something useful on them. Hold on one second."

Darkman walked over to the moniters. He thought of the security cameras back at the museum, and was hit with a short and vilent wave of nausea.

Kelly sighed quietly.

"Why can't that idiot just jump down, and stop wasting my damn time. Some people have a dad to find."

OOC: I can edit this post if that was supposedto be completely in her head.

Darkman's breath caught in his throat. He shifted his wait slightly, making the drop of his hand look natural. He rested his hand on the Jericho, his thumb hanging idly by the safety.

Is someone out there? I could swear I just heard something. Darkman pretended to continue concentrating on the moniter, His eyes were almost closed, and he was listening as hard as he could.

[Bernie]

OOC: Nah, she was saying it to herself quietly, so yeah, you might've heard a faint voice.

Kelly twitched slightly, as she couldn't hear anything anymore. Silence. "Hmm...maybe I should stick to saying things in my head from now on...meh, no matter." Kelly remained still, hoping for something to distract this now 'frozen' man.

Darkman was not distracted. In fact, he had acheived a state he had practiced going into in the woods behind his house many times. He was becmoing steadily more aware of his suroundings, particularly sounds. He had practiced this in order to hear the small animals in the woods. Now, it was to save his life as far as he was concerned. He picked out the sounds of the water, the people shuffling in the hole below, the flesheaters outside...

C'mon, I know you're out there. Just move, just move a tiny bit...

Darkman's ears locked onto the sound of Kelly's clothes rustling as soon as she twitched. A slight riumphant smile passed across his face. The idle thumb flipped the safety off he pulled the gun slightly out of the holster, still concentrating. He knew they were out there, but where?

Kelly wondered for a moment. "He's trapped in here, with people he knows that can help him and zombies outside 'encouraging' him to get out of here, yet he's not doing anyt-...shit! He's heard me. Fine, I can sit still." Kelly's eyebrow raised as she waited...

Darkman immediately head the eyebrow raise. OOC:Just kidding.

Minutes passed. Slowly Darkman's conviction faded. He figured the others had caught onto the fact that something was wrong, seeing as he had been standing completely still for what, five, ten minutes now?

With a smile so faint it was frightening, like the creep in the alley from a movie, Darkman broke the silence.

"Very well. Be stubborn. But don't worry, I know you're out there. I'll be waiting." Darkman walked over to the rift and hopped in. "We have a visitor. I believe it's human. Living. A bit shy though. Keep your guard up even more than usual."

"Got it" John said, and with that he took a swig from his canteen and put a new clip into his M9.

Darkman leaned quitely over to the rest of the group and said in a barely audible muttered:

"John and Ryn, we'll stay back and hide. If our visitor follows, don't shoot. Just keep the guns trained on him."

Darkman stepped backwards into the alcove created behind the rift, and crouched down. The light had been shattered when Ledrov came through and even in his white shirt he was barely visible. "Keep the laser sight off. Pass the torch up to someone else." Darkman whispered. He held out the Jericho and tried to keep his hand steady.

(OOC: When did my guy announce his name? Just wondering is all. But i'll go along and edit if I need to)

"Ok, but I suggest that we let them out alittle before one of us jumps on them. I suggest I do, but i'm open to any other suggestions or compliants."

OOC: I wasn't sure he did either, but for the sake of the story I assumed I knew it.

"Of course. No, wait, don't even jump on them. For all we know they could have 10 inch switchblade out. We'll have the firepower on our side, what with the MP7 and two handguns. Just keep that on the back of his head and try to get a good look at his weapons before you say anything."

Darkman looked back and forth between the two of them for approval. He turned to the others: "You guys just make it very clear that we've moved up. Everything clear?"

((OOC: I have no Idea what's going on... Someone (Darky preferably) please fill me in cuse I have no Idea whos above still and whos below...))

Yuri was looking up at the hole in the ceiling.
- "Jesus christ, it's dark in here... Ahh there you are." - Yuri grabbed his flashlight and lit it up with a bit of hesitation. As i lit up it shown an empty area. Moving to another position, Yuri illuminated Gary's face and then flinched as if he saw something unnatural.
- "Whoa.. scary."
Noticing nobody was laughing, Yuri added - "Move it, dead man. The rest of you as well."

He then proceeded to find the metal door leading back into the corridors. As he grabbed the handle he could hear a sort of a smacking sound. As if someone got it in the face pretty hard. Yuri wondered if the others heard it, but didn't say a thing. [i]We are close[/] - he thought as he stepped out of the room.

OOC: copaman, everyone is now down below. Me, you, and southsidediablo are staying back in ambush for "Kelly." Just get Ryn behind the rift and in waiting.

Gary found it amusing, even if no-one else did, so he did as he was told, following Yuri into yet another dark room. Gary wasn't normally an advocate of blind faith, but he found Yuri strangely trustworthy even though he obviously wasn't. He was too busy ruminating on that to notice the ever so slight noises from beyond the doorway.

Ryn stood next to Darkman and stood absolutely still, waiting for whatever it was to jump down the rift, gun trained upwards to shoot at anything that could come down.

"Don't shoot on sight, remember. An infected - there, that's the term for it - would never have the brains to hide." Darkman flicked on the safety, motioning for the others to do so as well. "Just in case. Oh, and Ryn, make sure the laser sight is off when he firsts comes down. We want to make sure he can't see us."

John saw one of the two people make a motion to put on the safety. So he made it look like he did. He didn't want to put on the safety, as it's a bad habit to him. He took another quick swig of "water" and aimed his weapon at the opening.
