Chapter One: The Story Begins

"Sorry, buddy, but I'm not the lunch special today," he said, and with a smirk, Titus leveled his shotgun, walked forward, and put more buckshot into the shambler's face than Dick Cheney could into five senators during a duck hunt. Satisfied that his undead assailant had been mortalized and re-killed, he continued down the hallway, fairly sure that this was the direction the explosion came from. Well, with this being a ship, it could have echoed from the other direction... Damn sound waves.
OOC: I'm back, and with a vengeance.
OLD SIG
When history witnesses a great change Razgriz reveals itself,
first as a dark demon. As a demon it uses it power to rain death upon the land,
and then it dies. However after a period of slumber Razgriz returns
As the demon sleeps, man turns on man.
Its own blood, and madness soon cover the earth.
From the depths of despair awaken the Razgriz.
Its raven wings ablaze in majestic light.
Amidst the eternal waves of time
From a ripple of change shall the storm rise
Out of the abyss peer the eyes of a demon
Behold the Razgriz, its wings of black sheath
The demon soars through the dark skies
Fear and Death trail its shadow beneath
Until Men united wield a hallowed sabre
In Final Reckoning, the beast is slain.

Shambler? Too fast. Not a sprinter, too slow. Maybe he hasn't seen me yet? A new type? Not likely.
Darkman spun around, thr trigger on the Baby Eagle half depressed.
"Shit! Titus! Where have you been? How did we lose you?" Darkman let the gun drop to his side.
OOC: Oh good, you're back!

Running backwards the creature moved away from where Gary was, and as far away from the noise of the gunshot as possible. It was the only one of it's kind that had escaped, and it wasn't doing it for no reason.
((OOC: Was going to say i was going away, but i had a power cut. Should be updating the story pretty quick now.))

Ryn pointed to a hallway no less than 75 meters away, lit with red lights and the eerie glow of floodlights left on. They seemed to be peering at the group through the fog.

"Exploring? What are you talking about? I'm looking for a little something that might be in the captain's cabin. Then, I gotta get off this ship and back to the army base."

Ever stop to think and forget to start again?
There are 10 kinds of people in this world: Those who understand binary and those who don't.
FZM and Vort don't do tag wrestling...but if they did, they'd probably be the worst tag-wrestlers in the world.
Oh for fuck's sake!

Knocked out, Harvey began to stir. After a few minutes, he woke up, and gained consciouness. Thanking the lord for his survival, he got up and walked through the vent's until he saw the group.
Dropping down, he spoke to them.
"Hi."

"I'm not going to any fucking army installation, and if any of you guys know what's good for you you're not going either. They've taken matters into their own hands over there John. They've decided to declare martial law for themselves. When I went to the hospital, covered in blood from fighting my way across the city for two days, they tried to shoot me. And when they didn't succeed in that, they beat me down and threw me in some closet. They'd do the same to me again and to everyone here. They've gone fascist. I'm staying clear. They're fucking insane, they'll kill us."

"He's right, there might be important stuff there, weapons and the like, as well as a possible way of escaping this god forsaken city. I don't know about you, but i think the countryside will have less of these flesheaters in it, especially as the cities contained most people. Maybe there's a helicopter there, with surviving pilots? Perhaps a boat for going up river? Maybe radio contact?"

From high above, the creature watched them talking, snorting malignantly at them, removing the air-vent, unseen from the groups eyes, he prepared to pounce.

Ryn heard light scratches above him and then noticed the slight breeze dissappear. He looked above at the Ventilation Duct above him and noticed the vent was gone. That had to have been there before. Otherwise I wouldn't have felt a breeze earlier. Something might be up there. Better let them know... "Hey," Ryn said to the group, "I think we might have a visitor above us. Keep moving, but watch your back. If we can get to a point in the ship where we can get it going, we'll leave this god-forsaken town behind, head north, and then I'll take it from there. Just watch yourself right now." Ryn took out the iron he carried on his back and then spun around in a circle. If there was something up there, Ryn was ready for it.

"29 bullets..." He said, worried. He flicked off the safety and took a glance behind him. "Right, the captains room. Sounds great."
