Welcome SeamyWham. What you have there sounds like a mistake on our behalf. Could you do the mission a few more times if it isn't too much trouble to see if it isn't a fluke?

Thank you, yeah sure thing I'll keep trying at it. :) I guess the MIGs are meant to destroy it or the Amplifer is meant to activate?

EDIT: Tried it three more times, all the times I just get killed despite I complete the objectives. :(

That's not good. That means we did nerf the MiGs, but forgot to add more of them to destroy the Nuke Silo. It's best you just skip this mission till we have it all fixed in 3.0. :)

Ah okay, how can I skip ahead of it? It's distressing me now haha. :)

Go to New Campaign in the menu. There should be a campaign list on the right so you can choose your mission. :)

Very good mod, i like it.
Wait... no, I LOVE it!
Except the missions. They're either too hard, too easy, or impossible.
Is there anyone who could complete the last allied mission? The moment i deploy my MCVs i get swarmed by everything the AI has. Disks, dogs, brutes, starflares, quads, etc. just sets a straight course to my base, and blow it up in a second.

Welcome Stiletto, glad you like the mod!

Almost all missions will be overhauled and new missions will be added. The AI is getting a rework as well so that casual players can actually beat the campaign, but still have a challenge on their hands.

Good to hear.
Oh, and i finally completed that last mission.
Took me a few restarts, and loads, but i got it.

A question about the third Epsilon mission called white scars.
I gather the 5000 credits, after that i receive an MCV, and 2 miners.
I build every building i can while countering tank rushes, but i never get the psy dominator build option(or icon).
Is this a bug, or i should wait for a scripted event?
A few times encountered the same problem in one of the original RA2 missions though.
It was the mission when you had to construct a chronosphere in cuba and deal with the nukes, but sometimes the chronosphere build option never appeared.

edit: also, when i quit & restart the game, and load any Epsilon campaign, my control panel changes to the soviet one.
Loading it again fixes it.

This must be a bug, I suppose. I would suggest skipping these missions for the time being.

Hell, we should draw up a list of missions that are broken. :wink_new:

Mind your double posting now. :p

Yeah, sorry for the double posting.
I'll be more careful next time.
About the mission: i just loaded a save from the previous mission(MO02 spring), completed it(again), and started white scars from the beginning.
It works now.
Seems that this mod has it's own will, and only works when it wants to.
OMG! It's self aware! Speeder created SkyNet! Run for yer lives!
Or it's just that stupid NPATCH again.

Hmm, that is certainly odd. We'll make sure that all missions are working properly in 3.0.
As you may know, we won't be using NPatch anymore.

Yes i know, and i'm glad that you abandon that buggy [censored].
I hope Ares will contain less bugs than Npatch.
Too bad we don't have chronospheres and time travel in our reality. Or mass cloning.
Imagine that! You don't need to do anything, just send out your own clone who follows your every command, like: go to work, pay bills(with counterfeit money), etc.
Or travel forth in time, and play MO 3.0.
**sigh** but there are no clones, no time travel, so i need to go to work, and wait for 3.0.

Welcome to the forums zFlashz. We hope you enjoyed the mod!

There are most likely still some (submerged) enemies sneaking around then. Can't blame you though if you can't finish this mission. It took me roughly 2 hours just to find every Sentry Gun, Terror Drone, and Typhoon.

Don't worry though, we've fixed this issue in 3.0. Now you only need to destroy all those damn defenses that are scattered over the island. :thumbsupsmiley:

Two-phase spying strategy:

Very offensive and costs a lot because you need both siege units and spies... purpose is infiltrating the AI's battle lab

You do need: 5-8 spies/saboteur/infiltrator and siege units, and a few anti-armor vehicles.

All sides have their advantage: The Allies have Battle Fortresses and Prism Tanks do well against both infantry and structures. However, their spies are the weakest (in general though because the Soviet ones explode while the Yuri ones are totally invisible!)

Soviet has the Siege Crawler and the Scud Launcher has a larger range.

Yuri's spies are entirely invisible.

----
How to:

Infiltrate a powerplant ASAP and bombard several base defenses (Grand Cannons first!) and the Battle Lab straight away - DO NOT destroy other normal buildings. If possible, attack the enemy dogs and such as well with those units. Snipers and Viruses work especially well, and Prism Tanks and Scuds do the job too albeit less efficient.
Enemy air units and armor divisions WILL come, so try to prevent them from killing your Siege units. Again, the Allies have the advantage with their Battle Fortresses loaded with Guardian GI's and the occasional Sniper IFV (Yuri can use an Elite Virus in a Speeder Trike, Soviets should load Boris in the Centurion).
The Soviets have Apocalypses which aren't much slower than the rest of the armor division though.
Yuri is by far the weakest in this offense... you need a large combined assault with Yuri consisting of both Magnetrons, Gattling Tanks and Masterminds and it is usually not enough to keep the Masterminds alive.

! Trick: The AI must rebuild its Battle Lab. It does not rebuild the walls around it and when it does, the AI will fail at doing correctly due to a bug.

Now, just send the spies to the buildings you want to infiltrate. Probably there is need to infiltrate the power plant again if the AI rebuilds its Battle Lab too slowly.

You've sent an huge army against this AI's base... Usually most units are still alive so just retreat considering the AI will send large unit groups against this. If the AI does not which does happen at times, just destroy the most important buildings and kill off everything afterwards...

The strategy is expensive and usually not necessary though. But it works if the AI defends his Battle Lab too heavily when you want to infiltrate it.

First phase: Infiltrate powerplant, bombard
Second phase: Infiltrate other important buildings, retreat.

Important units which can be utilized with great effect: Sniper, Virus, Battle Fortress, V3, Demolisher, Prism Tanks, Apocalypse, Battleship, Dreadnought, Kraken Frigate, Barracuda

Note: The AI might try to attack the armored units instead of the siege units. Abuse this if this happens.
