seriously in destiny why didnt they make more nuke powerd gundams and yes i know they singed a treaty at the end of the last war stating they cant but i mean seriously once a new war starts up all treaties go out the window, what are they gunna do to you if you do build them, declare war on you?!! Also when one blows up, I mean serious blows up, it'd go nuclear, killing quite a few people.

Now about nuclear MS...thats one area seed is more realistic than UC. I doubt armies are inclined towards buying nuke reactor after nuke reactor to put into ms, considering their loss rate.Actually, even putting nuke reactors into gundams is un-feasible...considering they arent much more durable than a normal MS, unless they have an ace pilot. Thats why all the nuke gundams are listed as experimental.

Which is exactly why all Nuke-Powered Gundams are piloted by Ace pilots. Money doesnt grow on trees you know.
Precisely...and even then, the military has to be wary of giving the units to them. Even ace pilots can be killed, and if they lose a nuke ms, they lose out on alot of the supposed long-term investment in it.
As far as i can interpret, the nuke gundams are made so as to determine if a mass-produced ms of the same type is feasible. They install a nuke reactor so they dont have to be concerned about power limitations during the tests. Only later with experimental ms like impulse, they cant put a nuke in cuse its banned by treaty.
Freedom killed providence. So from zaft's point of view, freedom is better than prov, even with the dragoons (not in my opinion tho). Hence they build the babi, which is actually the same type of ms as freedom, if drastically lower-quality.
Erm...is this reasoning sound about right?

Im just saying that for super aces it would have been more logical (hence why it dosnt happen due to the idiocy of fukuda) for them to be given nuke powerd gundams instead of still having to resuply every so often during critical battles.

I know shin was running out of power during the orb battle, but fukada said in a Q&A once that either you take it that shin was pumping destiny so much the reactor couldn't keep up, or that there was just a script error and shin retreated only cuse rey asked him to. In fact they took that out of the special edition.
If you look at their startup screens, the 'N' in the acronym for those two suits stands for nuclear.
Actually, if there were really talented people who existed in the world today on the level of 'super ace', i would be surprised to see the military give them some sort of unique and extremely expensive unit. From our viewpoint, it would make more sense to give super aces some sort of custom design, even quip it with a nuclear reactor. From the bureaucrats in the military and gov'ment point of view, they'd never do it, cuse they have to pay for it, and they have to ask 'what if he gets shot down by a lucky shot?'
More realistically, aces should be given custom variants on existing designs (eg, miguel and custom ginn), and this holds true except for the show's main characters.
