"Ahh, D-don't you l-love the smell o-of demolition in the afternoon?" said Titus, obviously a pun on a movie made years before, while the small tremors of the improvised demolition rattled through the van, shaking up all inside.

"That pun was hardly worthy of the movie, you know. Great movie. You ever see the German movie Stalingrado, it's a similar sort of - MOTHER OF CHRIST!" The van shook violently as a sprinter jumped through the broken window, wrapping its mangled hands around Darkman's wrist.

"AAAAAAAAAAAAHHH! GET IT OFF! GET IT OOOOOOOOOOOFFFF!" Darkman frantically punched it in the face, fumbling for a weapon with the other hand.

"Close your mouth!" bursted Titus as he brought the barrel of his Benelli to bear right in the cranium of the sprinter. When he pulled the trigger, the creature's head turned into pink mist, which sprayed Johnny's area of the van with blood.

"Whew. That was a close one there."

- "When you two are done looking at the remains, why don't you open the door and throw this filth out before it stinks up the whole van? Thank you."
The Chevy went straight into the downtown proper, going through the empty streets, trying to avoid the wreckage laying about. The streets seemed to be mostly clean from the undead, didn't seem like they were just waiting to get blasted in the open. Instinct drove them toward cover to lie in wait for targets.. Fortunately this target was a tad too fast for them, and lightly armoured too. If you can call the vans body "armour".

- "Ok, figures we should get back to the station to get those poor bastards out of the regional hot spot. Personally I wouldn't give two shits, but this situation needs a lot of guns blasting. Can you imagine that place even got raided by some sort of vigilante bikers? Seriously those creeps are just damn unlucky.."

"Hey, here I got a man after my own heart." Darkman laughed, trying to wipe the blood off his face. he took hold of the sprinter by it's lower jaw and pushed it back out the window. "Little motherfucker..." he grumbled to himself.

"Yeah, and speaking of which, who the hell are those people holed up back at the station? Oh, there's another one..." Darkman leaned out and sprayed a bit of fire at the sprinter giving chase. By sheer luck, he struck it in the shoulder. A few more bursts saw the car chaser severely lacking in the cranial area.

"Ha! Chase that, you little flesheating fucker! Haha!"

"Well, all this medicine is for one of them, as he got bit by one of the bastards, so we hacked and burned his arm off. He's still alive, but he needs medicine," said Titus, as he tore off a bit of his undershirt under his jumpsuit and fashioned it into a rag. He then cleaned his Benelli with it, wiping the undead blood off of the barrel.

"The others are acquaintances, as well, but we have a bit of a sense of camaraderie with them, well, at least I do."

The vna was nearly full, with it's inhabitants. However, one had declined to speak, the soldier who had came in with Thomas.

Darkman turned to Thomas still chuckling.

"Hey Doc, how you doing th - HOLY SHIT WHERE'D YOU COME FROM OH MY GOD!" Darkman stared at the soldier with his mouth slightly open and both eyebrows up. "Um, out now?" He beckoned towards the door. "No, seriously. Leave. Like, not even kidding, jump out of the van. This is unacceptable."

He swiveled back around to face Titus. "How'd he get in here? Did you let him in here? Titus...Why'd you let the army guys in Titus....we don't really like the army guys, Titus. Remember the part" He grabbed Titus by the shoulders and started shaking him violently" WHERE THEY TRIED TO KILL US?"

"Calm down. I'm not like other soldiers you saw. I was against their slaughter of those innocent people back there," Lucas said, "To be honest I'm not to into killing anything. I know, a peace-loving soldier, how strange, huh?" He smiled a bit at this irony. "Assuming you don't decide to kill me first, you can call me Lucas."

- "Hey what's going on back there? This boot camper isn't with you all?"
The thought sure made everyone get the sudden feeling of a con. Or maybe it was just Yuri. Either way it made him turn his head to the back of the van and threw a rather cold stare at the soldier.
- "Now is the time to explain, amerikansky. What are you doing here?"

"I was at the hospital with the other soldiers. I was kind of hiding from my superiors so I wouldn't be ordered to murder any innocent people like they were doing. I heard the commotion all of you were making and went to see what was going on. This van pulled up and in the chaos of everyone else piling in I decided to hop in too because I didn't want to be the only human left behind at that hospital," Lucas explained.

He paused a second, then added, "You don't trust me, do you? Because of those murderous bastards who wore the same uniform as me? This uniform means nothing now. I'm not like them at all. Believe me, please." The last sentence had a pleading tone, because he was afraid of what the others in the van might do to him of they didn't.

"What are you doing here Lucas. Don't forget your manners whatever your name is. " Darkman said in a flat, sarcastic, voice." He turned and punched Lucas in the face, "Frankly, I don't believe a word of your story. I don't remember you, which probably does mean you never hit me back in the hospital. But I've had bad enough experiences with your type to be suspicious. You don't have long to give me a better story, so start thinking." Darkman put one hand on the Jericho lying on the seat next to him.

Darkman's punch was a hard blow, and Lucas's nose began to bleed profusely. It was broken, and it hurt like hell, but he was almost used to this kind of pain and was able to speak anyway. "Damn it! I'm telling the truth! Of course you don't remember me hitting you at the hospital, I was trying my hardest to avoid hurting you and anybody else in there. I'm not like those other ones!" Lucas was frightened now. If they didn't believe the truth, what would happen to him?
"I understand your suspicions, but please don't hurt me," Lucas begged pitifully, with blood now covering most of the bottom half of his face.

"Damn it Johnny, calm down! Leave the guns out of this. If anything, he could blast you to pieces if he really wanted to," noted Titus, while staring at the military-issued rifle.

"Lucas, give me your rifle, and it may make Johnny a little less willing to punch you in the face again. And, if he does regardless, the hand will go bye-bye, get me Johnny?" he said, while outstretching one arm, and pumping his shotgun with the other. *click-click*

Lucas gave Titus the rifle without hesitation. "I don't want to shoot anybody," he told everyone, but mostly to Johnny, "Is this proof enough for you?"

"That works. Now, as long as you play by the rules, you'll get out alive. That means, you will be helping me with the pseudo-APC I am working on at the station. You will also help with exterminating any shamblers that try to interrupt my work. And, finally, you try to cross me, and I swear I'll kill you faster than that shambler that tried to get Johnny. we clear?" stated Titus, getting all the business out of the way. He then turned to Johnny. "This goes for you, too. Get me? It's not that I don't really trust you, but you're crazier than I am. That is bad."

Lucas wiped some of the blood off of his face with his sleeve, and at the mention of working on the pseudo-APC his face lit up a bit. "You're working on an APC?" Lucas asked, thinking he was the perfect person for this job. "That's the sort of thing I usually did before the outbreak. I was more a mechanic than an actual fighting soldier."

Yuri looked non too pleased.
- "Pacifist soldier - Yeah, right.."
His muttering was quiet but could still be heard across the entire van.
- "I suggest someone takes good care of his radio, I for one don't want to have an army slamming down on me any time soon."

Darkman leaned forwards between the seats.

"Yuri, are we the only one's with any sense in this car, or is it just me? And by that I don't mean to imply that you might...not...have...nevermind." He sat back in his seat. "Hey, is Bernie even awake?" He picked up the Jericho by the barrel and held it above his head, flicking the switch to safety with his thumb

"Just putting in the holster, no need to freak out, Titus." Darkman put the pistol away witha sarcastic smile.

"But seriously, give me a few good reasons why I should trust him. No, wait. First I'll give you some reasons we shouldn't. When I got to the Hostpital, with three fast ones on my tail, I almost got shot. The fucking bastards tried to SHOOT me Titus! And they knew DAMN well I wasn't a zombie. The only reason they didn't is because the flesheaters got to them before me, and they were distracted. Then they grabbed me, punched me a few times, and dragged me inside the Hospital. They started accusing me of having to do with the outbreak, they said I was a terrorist, that I dropped the virus on the world. They beat us regularly. They shot anyone who tried to get in the hospital. They were acting like little kids, crazed with power. My vote is we kill this bastard, still. Anyone with me?"
