I just read about a Gundam Seed Movie. I hate trying to gather facts on these sort of things, (Wikipedia says its un-tittled and still in production, Amazon claims its released and calls it Open BattleField, etc. etc., its hard to find out exactly whats going on) Is there a movie? And does anyone know if a DVD was released in england if there is?

Ok I help you out there, you have two differnt things mixed up.

There are 3 "movies" for the gundam seed series, these three movies are just special editions that sumerize the series in 3 complation movies. (nothing special)

The other is an actual Gundam Seed theatrical 2 hour or so movie that is in production in japan. It presumably takes place after Seed Destiny and is being directed by Mitsu Fukuda.

If my source is right (and dont ask me what it is, i forgot), the movie takes place in C.E. 78. They should have had Nishizawa Susumu direct instead, as a present for making GS Stargazer so good. Anyone watched the 3rd stage yet? cuse it was really cool.

I also have a pic of an older kira in a white ZAFT uniform, presumably for the movie, but i suspect its fan-made.

I still think they should go back and fix Destiny, whether it be through a new series or just compilation movies, Destiny was shit...

He didnt say he wasnt directing it. He just said it would be better if they had Nishizawa Susumu direct. Fukuda is the director for the movie.

lol, the problem is that Kira in the Zaft white uniform is official. That means Zaft has S.Freedom, I.Justice, Destiny, Impulse, and not to mention ORB would most likely side with them Giveing them Akatsuki, and Archangel. Then what would Earth be left with... NOTHING!

Anyone have that picture of Kira? I kinda find it hard to believe he would side with zaft. And assuming the series takes place some years after destiny the way things move in seed all those mobile suits would be obsolete by then.

I didnt say it would be practical. In my opinion most of the suits in destiny are way overpowered as is.

it was perfect in Seed IMO.

Ginn's with their machine guns could actually take out strike daggers, beam weaponry being brand new on mass produced suits...

that was the high point of the C.E. Universe, Fukuda ruined it with all this overpowered bullshit... I mean even the gundams in Seed didn't seem so overpowered *except for Freedom, fuck the Freedom*

S. Freedom more powerful? Two new wings on the hips (faster, and more dragoons), some of those uber-powerful swords like Destiny/I. Justice use, folded in half and stored on its legs. Add dragoon abilitys to the shield. (More free hands, the shield can block from any angle) add two more arms, along with two more guns. 4-armed, 4-winged, super-sword, floating shield Strike Freedom. Now that'd be a sight lol. Ugly, but uber powerful.
