Hello everyone,

No idea how I came up with this idea really, but I know there are some people out there who have always wanted a Rohan faction and a Gondor faction instead of having them all in one. Now I know there are mods out there already that have probably seperated the two, but has anyone thought of doing the other way of making the Men of the West have an multi-culture feel? Mean another possible way of doing it could be to have the Men of the West start with two builders, one a Gondor builder and one a Rohan one. That way a player could decide to create a souly Rohan civilization (One used more for calvary attack) or can build more of a Gondor civilization (More of a defensive orienteed theme) or the way I would think most would play, and create a combination of the two. Also could say construct the Golden Hall and that would be the place where you would create the Rohan heroes, while the Gondor fortress would be where you would construct the Gondor heroes.

Not sure how well this idea will be taken by all you out in the community, but just thought I would ask you all if such a idea would be a good one to pursue or not.

Look forward to your feedback and know since it was just a random idea, no matter if you like it or hate it, won't break my heart, so feel free to be open about your oppinions.

Thanks you all and have a great day!

he has an idea, not a mod...

And I think it sounds cool, but they might be overpowered after awhile, since many play long, and the resourses increase

But I think it's impossible to have to have two different buildable heroes (Gondor, Rohan) cause each faction can only have one... Good idea though

all you have to do is this
StartingUnit1 = RohanPorter
	StartingUnitOffset1 = X:30 Y:200 Z:0
	StartingUnit0 = MenPorter
	StartingUnitOffset0 = X:1 Y:130 Z:0

Yeah I know that's possible but he said that you should have two sets of heroes. In playertemplate.ini you can only have 1 BuildableHeroesMp thing per faction...

That's what I used in my mod, but when the "Treebeard-like" heroes die, they go back to level 1... So that's not very good exept if they start at level 7 like in my mod...

There is one problem with multiple porters.

It will SUCK in single player as the Ai can only have one porter at a time.

Yeah I was suggesting that the Gondor Heroes be the faction buildable heroes and then the Rohan Heroes be built like Treebeard at the Golden Hall. Also I believe you can have heroes be built at a unit production building and still have them retain their level if and when they die. As far as this side being overpowered, I am not sure, mean would still be making the same amount of buildings and getting the same resource bonuses because starting off with the same amount of builders as everyone else. So don't see how having two different kinds of porters on one side would tip the scale. Although the AI might be an issue as brought up by Argolis. But thanks for all the oppinions on the topic and don't be afraid to keep the discussion up.

Have a great day ...
