I've never heard of the mod.Noone cancels mods because of other mods.
It would be like me canceling my mod because of RA.I have no plans to release the mod for a while.

Time for this weeks news update and it is...
there is none :thumbsupsmiley:
I'm taking a couple weeks off from modding for some well deserved R&R.
Some work may be done in this period but it just depends on if I get bored.(or server downtime on LOTRO :thumbsupsmiley: )

Ok I'm back to modding and I have 3 renders to show of upated models.
For the Wood Troll, Hill Troll and the new Dwarven Barracks.
The Dwarven Barracks are a WIP it is being made by the suggestion of a friend Beta testing for me.The blue crystals you see will have a pale glow to them and there is a door for the Barracks that opens vertically.Most Dwarf buildings will be redesigned in a similar fashion.
In Beta news so far from this beta I have made a couple changes and a few fixes.
Elladan and Elrohir will lose their mount due to problems getting the toggle to work.The Corsair Raiders may also lose their Crossbow toggle for similar reasons.Galdor will be designed again.I have been making some new FX for some heroes like Gildor,Khamul,Witch King and others.
Glorfindel may get leadership ability this is still being decided.

wow 4 posts in a row.I don't like that on any forum especially not mine ;)
anyway a bit of news.Following my tradition of mid week news update on the coding side of things.
This week I have a bit of news on some of the stuff mentioned on the above post.
The Corsair Raiders will not lose their toggle.
There have been a few adjustments made on some heroes.
Glorfindel's Balrog Slayer has been changed a little with new FX and the ability to hit multiple enemies.
Witch King's "My Hour" power is almost finished with only a bit of fine tuning on the FX.
The Mountain Troll Hero (may just be called Troll Captain because I can't decide on a name from the contest) gets a couple new abilities.
First up he gets to jump.
He now has leap (stronger then Gimli's version and has new animations)
Uppercut ( a mellee attack that stuns the victim)
Bloody Roar (has 300 range the same range as a troll throwing a rock)
and Taste of Blood - an ability at level 10 that gives him an extra 1000 health and increases his health recovery.This can be reused, each time he gains 1000 health making him stronger over time (he loses the bonus if he dies).
He still has his leadership and pillage abilities as well as the Troll Carnage.
The Troll Hero is a hero to be feared.

Also the Uruk LNT (the Orc/Uruk that follows Gothmog in the movie) will be
summoned by Gothmog and will follow and help defend him (slaved like Goblins to their lair).
Gothmog will be able to summon him at level 8 this will replace the Warg Summon power.
Grishnakh,Shagrat and Gorbag will also get a slave summon for these three they will summon a horde of Orcs that follow them around.
The Slave masters and Orc LNT may also get this.

I'm not sure if I mentioned this before but there will be a couple changes to Shelob and the Brood Mother.
The Brood Mother will be a normal playable hero she'll be able to spawn Spiderlings that are slaved to her and follow her around.They have no timer and she can keep summoning them eventually forming a large brood.
She'll also get a ranged special attack that slows down an enemy.

Shelob will be slaved to her Lair (new haven building for Morgul) she'll not have any spiderlings following her instead she'll be able to pin heroes in place with her standard attack.
She may also be able to poison an enemy with her standard attack.Nearby enemies will lose any leaderships they have and will lose 20% of their sight/range.

i won't be allowing you to get a posting spree :)

i like the ideas.
The troll hero sounds a wee bit overpowered. Just keep him out of battle and let him use that power over and over again and he'll be far superior to any other unit. You might just need to work that out. But i'm sure you've thought of that.

I suggest that the troll's final ability would be passive, and give 1000 health and 200% damage, 50% armor and a faster health recovery.

Originally I hoped the health bonus would wear off but I guess the attribute modifier is a permenant one.He did get 2000 health.
But he has to get to level 10 first and he is too strong not to use in combat.
And if someone does try to camp with him and just boost his health then it would be an encouragment for the opponent to attack.The recharge will be slow.

I should mention that the Cave Troll Hero will also have uppercut,Bloody Roar.
He'll also get a new ability called thick skin that makes him invunerable for a short time.This ability is at level 10.
