Today (March 11th) just so happens to be the birthday of one Douglas Adams, the author of the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy series!
This just so happens to be my second favorite trilogy (see if you can guess what slides in ahead of HGG) and i figured this was as good a place as any to celebrate, so let the festivities begin!
NOTE: dont forget your towels!

imo, the books are much, much better than the movie. you should check them out at some point.

The fourth and fifth books were worse, but the first three (Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, The Restaurant at the End of the Universe, Life, The Universe and Everything) were hilarious. The film was an appalling adaptation, if I'm honest. One of the worst book-to-film translations I've ever seen. Better than the Harry Potter films, but not by much. I blame Hollywood. When Marvin says he has a brain the size of a planet, that doesn't mean he literally has a huge head. The image I always got of him was pretty much like Bender from Futurama.
I hope I am a good enough writer that some day dwarves kill me and drink my blood for wisdom.
