if your planning on only playing remix (just the one mod), then doing it through modtoaster, or even having mod toaster installed isnt worth it, as it can create problems.

crosus? whats that?

tbh dont use mod toaster. i find it easier to just have a clean, fresh ZH directory, and put the files manually into the folders where they go.

using mod toaster and playing several mods can create problems, because some mods leave fragents of their mod behind in the directory and can cause crashes.

yes, crosus is the new modtoaster. its now not only fpr Generals, but for other games as well. guess there are many other new functions, but i dont know them all....

I don't know about Crosus, but 2.29 was supposed to be added to Modtoaser2, though I don't use it myself.

Between now and the next polished release there should be very little new art work done. Instead the focus is on designing, testing, and fixing. the mod has always been so close to finished that its nearly criminal. I'd love to see this through to the end with a real community effort.

For some reason the file was removed from filefront... I'm re-uploading now and I'm also adding it to alternate locations.

yer filefront should give u a heads up by 7 days via an email if ther eis any files that have been inactive and they will remove, the heads up give u the chanse to stop the being deleted
Thats what happens with me sometimes... however i did have 1 file deleted withtou warning and i was like wtf where it go lol.

Hi. I've already downloaded the file for Remix3 (Remix3_VerAlpha2.29.rar) and saved it into my Zero Hour directory, but it's not working. Can someone please tell me what I'm doing wrong or where to put it? :p

there is a read me included with the RAR file.
do you have WinRAR?

if not download it, and install it. then post back here. and ill tell you the next stage

if you do have win RAR, you need to extract the files. where ever the download saved it to, just extract them there. then move the 3 files into thier required folders.
if you saved the RAR to you ZH directory, remove it as it wont work.

make sure your directory is clean, and no other previous mods installed.

the Remix.big file goes in the Data folder in ZH. just drag it straight into it. it doesnt need to go in another sub folder, just straight into the data folder.

the Generals.csf goes in the Data/English folder.
delete any other files in the Data/English folder. there should only be the Generals.csf file in there.

the Scirmishscripts.scb file, does in the Data/Scirmish scripts.
it should be the only file in there. delete any other scirmish scripts, and place the remix one in there.


then it should work, unless you have done something wrong, or you have a different version, or any other mod files left in the ZH folder.

Actually i have a "movies" folder in my data/english and it works fine even with that there. Olli u are lieing again :p lol

yes, i said any other FILES not folders in the english.
any other files apart from the remix generals.csf is to be deleted.
the folders can stay.

I checked out Modtoaster 2, and even with the newest version there is no remix in the list.
@Pandaelouse: maybe u can talk again to the Toaster-Crew, so they add remix ???

Alright! I downloaded the WinRAR program, and did everything olli said. Almost everyting seems to be working fine, and the mod looks great! Thanks for the help and the awesome new units.
