lol really? how interesting, shame theres no replay for that, because ive heard he is unbeatable and he can take on an insaine AI by himself and win....

Yer but olli no one is unbeatable, and the peaple that tend to boost about how good they are tend to suck, Its kinda like guys that insult your mom like saying things like "thats what your mom said last night" and stuff it cos there are insecure about themselfs ;)

Acctuly I was the first person that beated Insane robot by myself, then Pend looked at my tactics and made counter mesures ;P (robot used to have only missle AA, im the reason he dosent have it eanymore).

yea the ONLY reason you beat it was because of an exploit.
not because of skill, you were just wise enough to notice that they used only missiles, and enough choppers with point defense drones will be invincible.

tbh if we told any one that they can beat an insaine. thats why now he uses bullets for AA as well.

I've played against 90% of the players here... I know Gred is among the best at PvP. I've killed almost everyone else in a 1vs1, though with Gred I've only played in 4 player games, so I can't speak for a 1vs1 show down, but so far he's the only one I know could give me a REAL run for my money.

Talk about killing 3 others players too me isn't all that exciting... but I'm biased... I have home turf advantage in my own mod, so killing 5 people isn't a big deal to me.


killing an insane Robot AI 1vs1... without using an exploit... I'd like to see. Show me a replay.

Between now and the next polished release there should be very little new art work done. Instead the focus is on designing, testing, and fixing. the mod has always been so close to finished that its nearly criminal. I'd love to see this through to the end with a real community effort.

ok .....

just spam Airfields, and fill up the build queue with choppers. then upgrade to point defense drone and volia! an invincible air attack force.

Talk about killing 3 others players too me isn't all that exciting... but I'm biased... I have home turf advantage in my own mod, so killing 5 people isn't a big deal to me.


are you saying you can take on 5 people at once?
i seriously doubt that. very much, even if it is your own mod.
i would be so impressed if you have. and they have to be semi-decent at least, not complete noobs who have just started playing the mod :p

just to say, when u beat me i just got the mod lol, anyway ive not bean beaten yet, only by blue phoenix and that he got lucky with,

that insaine ai is pretty tuff, and had me messed up the whole match, but u cant stop me once ive started attacking, my tactics not ordinary, just ask the people i play with like blue phonix black hand peewee apocolyps, thats all i remember at moment. also if you have look at replay it be pretty fun to watch, lots of good battles and conversations however i thought that i would actually get a challenge in that match, if u saw even though we werent rule restrcited i did not spam sw or anything of that sort, or even turtle my self, unlike the enemys, they play longer then me and are no where as good of a level as me, pend i would be up for a match against u
1v1 or 2v2 u tell me the day and time and lets see who would actualy win =D
i guess u would as u know more about the mod, but u dont know me or how i play so it be pretty even, unless u spam some sort of thing that ruins the game

I'll use no names, but there are several members here I know I could take on 5 of... and I'm not 100% sure, but I suspect atleast 2 of the players in AK's game were on that list.

now, asuming none of the weaker players, I'm still pretty sure I could win a 6 player free for all vs most of the people I've played against... asuming they don't ALL tag team as a 5vs1. BUT at the end of the round atleast 4 of those players would be calling me an asshole. :p

but the answer is to start attacking early and focus on one player at a time, to minimize animosity, and only build mobile superweapons to avoid showing a public timer. (basicly avoid drawing attention until its too late).

lol pend that last part of ur post is a fraction of my strategy,

its either build a super weapon to draw the enemy there and prepar a counter somewhere else

or dont make sw, make small things like mobile ones, stealth planes auroas/arty/a10 spotters and use those to keep a constant strangle on the enemy, also once u start attacking the enemy dont u dare stop, u keep going at it nonstop, to not let them rebuild or gather forces. deploy shock and awe tactics and casualy hit them hard with super air strikes or mass arty drops, this will significantly weaken any enemy. i think that nuke vs infantry general, nuke would win easy

that is ofcourse just the short version...

i think that nuke vs infantry general, nuke would win easy

you'd be suprised; infantry general (when played right) can EASILY crush any general I've modded so far. I did a series of PvP rounds using basic infantry units almost exclusivly just to prve the point. Even whithout building an airfield or drop strip infan general is a serious force to be recond with...

and, if for some reason the game goes on long enough as infantry gen, the neutron troopers will rape infantry and vehcials with pretty much one shot.

if your against tank, and you have neutron troopers, about 20 of them, and 20 miniguns can be a serious assult force. put them in battle fortresses and helixes and its even worse.

yeh im not saying infantry gen is not good, i actualy like them alot, never played with them properly, i will do so in the next 10 matches i have, anyway i was a bit vague on the nuke vs inf, what i meant is, if ur nuke gen then just get some arty and blow the inf up, if u see a large group standing there get a super heavy long range nuke thingy or what ever its called and take them out, u can really cripple an infantry player like that, also a few nuke artys here and there with some arty base defence and infantry has no chance, i took out a full fortress of long range infantry with about 4 retailiators long range base defence and a nuke cannon, somehow i didnt see the battle, just the dead fortress and men running back to base cos they where evaced



that is ofcourse just the short version...

that is about the first 10 lines of my strategy, in comparison to the other 23 pages and 1/3
anyway, i would like to see ur tactics and counter then ingame. that it pretty fun. every match so far is to easy

Infantry general is much more intimidating when looking at it from another angle... Imagine 10 Elite barracks building squads 10 at a time with a rally point at the edge of your base... artillery is great, but the mortar troops are just as effective and available in squads. when a thousand infantry (500 of them with mortars) circle a base its pretty hardcore... and knowing all those infantry were built in just a couple minutes makes it even more impressive.

I still think its lame when peaple bost about how good they are most peaple i known that say omg i soo good i can take on this amount of players or get this kill/death ratio and such normaly are crap or are insecure of there skill so they have to try and make themselfs feel better.
And this happens in every game there is always peaple that think there soooo good and bost but really they suck or they have some n00b tactic or something.

lol phoenix thats pretty true. but when ur inthe game, and everything is going legitimately as everyone follows rules implace, then somehow they own u after rush time is up and everytime its different the way u die, depending on what youve built that could not cope with the rush. thats how i play

out of every match ive played so far that was legitimate and everyone co-operated with each other, i have not lose yet and i want to find someone that will make me lose, u get what im saying.

also people really start pissing u off when they cheat, as in rush u within a few minutes of starting then u leave, then when ur in lobby they start saying ha ha ha i beat u ur crap blah bla bla, they did not tecknicaly beat u as they had to cheat in order to do that. only games i play are legitimate games

if i say no rush for 5 min, that means not going past bridge, thats means u dont do it, if i see u send a dam ranger over i would just exit on a dime. even if i was winning i would just quit. it would piss them off more then me. cos they just wasted there time. also u get satisfaction for pissing them off =D

as for the replay i posted, have a look at it. its pretty good.

I can respect following the "agreed upon rules" BUT I personaly HATE pre-agreed rules. For panzies... why can't you defend your (you, being anyone) base if I can attack it? You had the same 5 minutes to build troops that I did!

I'm not what I consider a "rush" player... I won't mess with you durring the first 60-90 seconds or so simply because I beleive thats a little rude, but I do believe that once the first escelation upgrade is built its on, and if someone does try to start it up faster than that I'm cool with it, I just go where needed. Even if they bumb rush me within the first 20 seconds I'm going to have troops ready to defend my base.

5 minutes or 10 minutes (I've even seen players say 15 mnutes :p ;) ) is just silly... I don't think PvP should be a sandbox round.

I hate players that rush gives me bad memorys of lame "zerg" players in starcraft that could flood u with a mass army in just mins, that just plane annoying u got a game like starcraft with tons of cool units and upgrades and u don't even get to get like 2 because your dead.

Same with all Stratagys i hate rushers but i not mind being attacked in like 2 or 3 mins cos by then u have had time to build some defences and units.
Only game i have used peace time is on american conquest.... being able to have 16,000 units on the map and having some indian tribe running over u with mass army is a pain...
I love being able to built my platoons of pikemen muskteers and dragoons lol
