A lot more (9 to be exact):

That's gotta hurt :p

Posted Image

My double wall! Clever, huh?

Posted Image

Multiply these cramped soldiers by 5: That's all the archers in my military :0

Posted Image

I thought this was a clever design...Lowered costs, too :p

Posted Image

My trebs (updated from the last):

Posted Image

Check out the command pointage and money (after buying three fortresses and upgrading them), and the palantir. Btw: this is my enemy's fortress ;) This is their ENTIRE army. If you see ANY units here, that's their ENTIRE military ;)

Posted Image

Several powers being used at once...I don't know which:

Posted Image

The same:

Posted Image

And the enemy fortress blowing up (hehe):

Posted Image

About three minutes after this: my computer crashed. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!! :p

Hehehe, i registered (after reading this forum since several weeks) just to post some Screenies of last nights battle against the pc *g*
Btw, Naz: select your units, right-click and HOLD down on the spot you want to direct them, left-click and HOLD and move your mouse... you should now see a white line which indicates how u can line up your soldiers :p

anyways, here they are:

"Master the Rohirrim!"
Posted Image

Rohan is ready to strike (omg, the skins are SO amazing!!!)
Posted Image

Rohan, defeating some dwarfen outlaws who dared to attack their farms :p
http://i201.photobuc.../rohan_army.jpg

The soldiers of gondor lining up (to be honest, i dont like their grey-whiteish armor, it looks very strange to me)
Posted Image

"Sons of gondor, my brothers!!!"
Posted Image

The gondor cavalry
Posted Image

"Chaaaarge!!!"
Posted Image

"Let none of them alive!"
Posted Image

"Push, soldiers, take them everything!!!"
Posted Image

The battle goes on
Posted Image

"Let this be, soldiers, show them our artillery!"
Posted Image

"The wizard comes to our aid!!!" (another question, why is there no more "Gandalf the white"??)
Posted Image

"TEAR IT DOWN!!!"
Posted Image

Yeah, and after that, the remaining dwarfen outlaws flew into the woods of fangorn where they were eaten by a giant mushroom ;)

Holy COW!!! :p ;) :p  ;)

I've never seen so many units on screen at once!!! (Except in Rome Total War, lol). How was the lag? ^_^
Or maybe you have like 5 GHz CPU, with 10 GB ram and a dual GeForce 8800... maybe? :p

Your statements:
- Gandalf the White IS in the game my friend. Juat like in the movie, after he dies ;)
- The Gondor skins? You don't like them? Cause they are grey/white? You mean you rather have them white/silver like the EA version? :p And I don't see the white? I see only dark grey? =p

Anyways: welcome to the forums and thanks for your awesome screens, hehe

And oh yeah... Thanks for the tip - I seldom get to play anymore, only mod and playtest, so I had forgotten about that thing. Wasn't that in BFME1 too? =)

TDP, you gotta tell me - lag much? :p :p

@ Rindy: How did you get that angle in the 4th screenshot?

@ TheDeadPlayer + Rindy: those screens are great! One comment though (mainly directed to Naz): when I see those huge armies I actually think about a Star Wars fight. Why? Because of the banner glows! FX overload! Can't we make them fainter?

- I guess he ttok it in a slope? *guessing*

- Yes, that will be done (I hope) but it's a low prio fix. If Sûl thinks he can adjust it easily, we could do it for 4.5, but otherwise it will be for Beta V =) I wanna keep the glow but I agree that it's too bright. Same with FB glow... should be really faint and subtle =)

TDP, you gotta tell me - lag much? crazed.gif tongue.gif

Not too much, but I forgot to close msn and photoshop XD

For the banner FX, maybe they can be hide via the INI indeed, but I don't know if you can modify it.

You might be right... I think they're bound to the model, so it's either show or not show that part... :(

It's the same with FB glow... some are in the model, some are not, so I guess that's an unreachable dream too... :/

TDP: Could you state your system plz? *curious*

Mine is:
- AMD Athlon64, 2,2 GHz, 3500+
- 2 GB DDR-RAM, 400MHz, CL2
- GeForce 7900GTX, 512MB

And with all setting to Maximum, I get lag when units more than x1000 CP...

Not better than your.

It's the same with FB glow... some are in the model, some are not, so I guess that's an unreachable dream too... :/

seeing all those screens i have to ask one question. where are enemy armies? seeing the fact that AI isnt very moddable in bfme2 then skirmish is probably a bit boring. if you can manage to make that big armies

edit: those things on models arent FX (at least not all of them). most of them are planes on the model with some ARGS setting used (same thing as firearrows). and yes you can hide them via code be it units ini file or better using LUA.

- You are correct Cahik... the enemy armies are NOT that big and I have no idea how to make them that big. Perhaps if I increase the perentage in SkirmishAI? ;)

- So what about FB glow? What's your take on that? Possible to redo entirerly? =)

For the FB glow, if you hide the 3D object, then you attach a FX to the swordbone, it should works.

hiho :p
to clarify some questions:

1. 'bout the angle of the screenshot: i just did a trick by posing my units on a hill (unofficial Dunharrow II map)
it would be REALLY great if we could somehow alter the camera to support a grater angle (for more movie-like screenies *g*)
2. I didn't really suffer from any lags, except a slight performance hit if i let all units stand on ONE point (you now, if they build those bulks like in TDPs first screenshot) other than that, i didn't notice much lagging.
3. well, if you look at my system, that may be the explanation :p
intel core 2 duo e6600
2 Gig Ram
GeForce 8800 gtx
(well, i had to work LONG and HARD to buy me this baby :D )
4. i don't know how to describe it and PLZ don't take it personally nazgûl, since you're doing a GREAT job and the soldiers just need some MINOR graphic teaking, but i don't really like the grey-ish look of the footies armor. i didn't like the original neither. For me, they look like they're wearing some sort of paper or paint on their armor. but in my opinion, their look should be a bit more metall-like. not like a gold piece, but still shiny. wait, i'll explain it by pictures:
Why not give their armor a little darker touch? like aragorns armor
Posted Image
or look at this unit from age of men mod:
Posted Image
as you can see, his armor is very blue-ish. what i want to show you here is the breastplate, which i think is very well done. compare the breastplate to the shoulderpads, which also have this white-ish paper look of the gondor footies. i think, it would be nice, if the whole gondorian armor could be a bit more like the breastplate (NOT the shoulderpads, since those are mor elike the actual skin) but in a more dark oder greyish manner.
you see, i like that shiny look of the armor. since it's a metal plate, i think this fits really well
