The dimensions of the shield are okay, but his shape is a bit too simplified.

Yeah, Make the shield more like the ones in the picture but very good work :p

A suggestion for Isengard would be to make the wildmen recruitable out of a tent instead of a bar/tavern, now that the MotE use that.

Yeah, Lack of a model meant we just stuck in the tavern as a placeholder though.

I've always liked Isengard as a faction. They're more organised than the other evil teams, and probably my favorite.

For Unit Ideas:
Maybe Dunland Scouts on horseback? They would be good for serveying the landscape and would probably be useful in large numbers for an attack early on. But they would be cheap.

Looking at movie based games like the LOTR: The 3rd Age and LOTR: Conquest, you might consider a 'grunt' unit, stronger than orc warrior's but still lowly soldiers.

Then you could have elite warriors, scout hordes (like the ones in FotR, they could contain archers) and elite warriors.

Also, it should be noted that Crossbow's weren't nearly as good as trained archers, so maybe make crossbowmen more accurate but stronger to reload.

Next, in the movie and the book at the seige of Helms Deep, the uruks used shield formations similar to the Romans. Maybe that could be a special formation of shield units, then you could merge them with a battering ram or ballista etc.

Just some ideas, reply if you think they're good ones.

The team already stated a couple of times that scouts won't be an elite horde.

I think they just want to do something else then the majority of mods...

Besides, scouts are scouts, not really elite units

Nah, I meant as a unit used at the beginning, like Yeoman Heralds. Maybe instead they should be the non heavy armour version of normal uruks and there could be a crossbow upgrade 'Replaces all bows with crossbows'

What do you think?

Hmmm... so instead of having Uruk Crossbowmen, you just have Uruk Archers... then, when they get the upgrade, they become Uruk-hai Crossbowmen. Of course, the same could go for Uruk-hai... they start out as Uruk Scouts and become Uruk-hai Warriors... and as for the pikes, they start out as Uruk Rabble with a bunch of random polearms (think "grab your torch and pitchfork" ;)) before their upgrade which makes them become Uruk-hai Pikemen. Say... that reminds me of a delightful discussion earlier in this thread. :p

You know guys, while he has an unpleasant way of putting his points across, we shouldn't have to be sarcastic about him. I was widely disregarded in the days when RA was alive, but people were patient enough to give me time to learn from my mistakes.

Thanks Yoda. :good:

But back to Isengard, Does anyone think that Saruman's Leadership bonus could extend to buildings to give them an increased production rate?

The leadership buff sounds interesting, however I don't think Half-Orcs could fit into Isengard.
