Well, have you read the links? Apparently not.
Especially the last link is the one going your way. :sad2:
Reading it is kind of an unspoken requirement to be taken seriously. We all play by certain rules at T3A.
Everything you need to know is in there.

I still know that you haven't read the 'READ FIRST' thread. Go do it. :sad2:
After that, look for the top of any T3A page (like this one). There is a big red banner with golden letters saying 'The 3rd Age'. Click on the letters to go to the T3A hompage. There you will find lots of tutorials and lots of resources including all the modding programs we use.

Modding is a lot about finding things yourself. If you cannot find something that is obviously somewhere on T3A, you will have a hard time finding anything in the game files (which is a big part of modding the game). So get used to looking persistently for stuff yourself.

Hint: There is a 'search' function on the red bar as well.

There are many programs needed to add a complete new unit, You will need a modeling, texturing, coding program.

The following are used to mod the game:

Renx/Gmax or 3ds Max - Modeling, Animating, Rigging
Photoshop / Gimpshop - Texturing
FinalBig Editor - Extracting BIG Files
Notepad - Editing the INI Files

There are various other "Small" programs and such, That are needed here and there. But these are the main ones.

Do make sure you search around the site, read some tutorials and so onwards..
