Well I wanted to see more stuff on the Last Alliance in the Shaping of Middle Earth Book, so I did. Might be more stuff we haven't thought of yet. And I did find something interesting. It says Saurons army was made up of a whole bunch of random crap, but one thing I haven't heard of before are Exiled Ones. It explains what they are. They are men who have been kicked out of their town or something and find their way to Sauron. He blesses them with a magic called somethign in elfish that means Fire Tears. Basicly its a black magic that gives the Exiled Ones the power to sacrifice themselfs to weild fire sorcery. Wasn't 100% sure what that ment, but if they are sacrificing themselfs to use this magic, they must be like fanatics blowing themselfs up. Then it says Sauron tells them to go back to their homes and kill in his name, bla...

So I thought that was a pretty cool unit idea. Have a guy, looking like he got slapped hard in the face by life, and has the power to sneek into a place and blow up. Think that might be cool?

a bit too much of a hocus-pocus thing, I'd prefer non-magic kamikaze units (carrying oil or something)

Sounds kinda cool but maybe some tweaking.
Personally I have always thought that Sarumans bombs were some sort of magic so maybe Sauron gave these Exiled Ones sort of magic and technology to make powerful bombs and their task was to sneak into enemy base and set up these bombs, blow them up although the Exiled Ones get blown up too at the process. How doest that sound ? Basic idea would be the same but I think it makes more sense :p

still very much hocus-pocus. we're supposed to be a reasonable mod.

How excactly it is too much magic ? These would be just as reasonable as oil carriers ;) These guys would just be sort of sneaky bomb men if we do them using my suggestion :p

why, tbh I dislike the idea that the evil guys should be arabs (almost) AND have suicide bombers aswell. it gives me bad vibrations...
seems I'm in minority though, so I'm not going to prevent you :p

Now that you put it that way...:p But I wasnt thinking that they would be from east :) They would be coming from the western parts of Middle-earth maybe ? But we have to see if its actually going to be put in the final version ;) I have alot of new units in mind already and if we are gonna be adding 2 (max 4) units for minifactions, then its gonna be very strict line on adding some evil men units.

Rejected and grudgeful people giving their lives to produce extreamly potent power. Compared to EA's Abra-Karabra, that's simple stuff.

why would anyone die for sauron? revenge is one thing, but kamikaze requires a discipline that the followers of sauron usually lack.

I don't doubt these people have been brainwashed. Sauron probably gave them a bag of skiddles if they would do it.

(shouldn't help another mod) but on Lotr Return of the King for GBA, there were Uruks with packs on their backs full of volatile explosives by Saruman's black magic/gun powder. Why not that for Isengard?
