Whatever the case, DO NOT USE SULADAN!!! PLEASE!!! The name is obscenely overused and bears no creativity. Seriously, I could have thought it up in a second. You think Arabs with swords, you think Saladin. Suladan is merely a few letters here and there changed. Use something creative like Ubiq (yes, I made that up) or what not. And that one guy who used too much color's ring hero choices were unrealistic and too untrue to the lore. Anyone on evil would have willingly given the ring to Sauron. We know what happens then.

I just think we should have a more realistic Sauron.

That's all I got...

I suggested that last page and Yoda wisely pointed out that all these posts would just clog up General Suggestions then.

I know you no longer care about this but atleast listen because they are pretty good (I think anyways)

Gondor = Isildur
Elves = Fingolfin
Dwarves =Durin the Deathless
Rohan = Ghost of Helm Hammerhand
Arnor = Elros-Tar-Minyatur
Mordor = Sauron
Isengard = Saruman of Many Colours
Wild/Goblins = Ungoliant
Angmar = Morgoth
MotE = Castamir? Not too sure about that one

Of course not. Why would they read it when they can just impress us with the awesomeness of their ideas? :grin:

Stig, I sincerely suggest that you not post any more ring hero ideas. Apparently it's something of a nuisance for other board goers ^_^ We already have a pretty sweet and in depth system worked out.

COOL :lol: . Where's that name from?

And I apologize if creativity is untrue to the lore. :)

What's wrong with Suladan, okay sure his use in other mods is frequent but who cares?!

Besides his name denotes to the leader of the Haradrim horsemen who challenge Theoden in the Battle of Pelenor Fields chapter. So if the name is supposed to represent a great leader from the books, then it seems rather pointless to not implement him.
I will remember Rhovanion Alliance, RIP .

I suppose it's true that it kind of removes originality when everyone else uses it. I have nothing against drawing parallels to the arabs, the Haradrim appear (mostly in the films) largely based on middle eastern culture. My initial thought was calling him Hannibal because of the oliphants, but that's ridiculous. I don't think anybody would really care if you used Suladan, but anyway here are some name suggestions:

-Since the customs are being chopped, you could always use the generic EA name Fhaleen. I know, it sucks pretty bad, but if there are no other names it can do while we're thinking one up.
-You could come up with a title or a nickname instead of an actual name. The Black Prince, the Scorpion King, the Grand Mahúd, I don't know, something like that. Harad King is just a bit lame.
-A bunch of names I came up with initially for my Harad customs were General Khamar, Vorgel (more Easterling-style but oh well), Saleem (from the War of the Ring game that isn't based on the movies), King Ahram, Masema (from the Wheel of Time book series, which is awesome by the way), Ayachin (I may have heard this somewhere but I think I made it up), Vastakar, Abrahim, Al Jafaer, and Ali-bongo. Bear in mind a load of these were made up on the spot, quite possibly under the influence of intoxicating beverages. If you really can't find a name, call him Crazy Arab With A Hook, but in my heart he'll always be Hannibal.

We are not yet sure if the CaH system is going to get the Axe yet. The reason rob doesn't want to use Suladan (I believe) is because it bears alot of resemblance to the Middle-Eastern warrior of the Crusades, Saladin.

Thing is, I don't want uber games, cus itwill be a pure race for who can get the ring 1st and annihilate the other team with awsome other worldly powers which own the butt of any who resist, fun the 1st 10 times but after a while it gets quite tedious. It would distract from the perpose of the game, and, I like the system at the moment. If good get's the ring, they get Frodo who has to take the ring to the enemy fortress to destroy that enemy (sounds uber but would be really hard) also, do it under a time limit, otherwise frodo get's corrupted and gives the ring to the enemy, who would summon either Sauron, Saruman (more powerful than the normal one) and maybe Smaug or Drogoth or summut.
