No, they've chopped the bottom half off and put the top into a shield, then added the extra bit.
And they're colonial marines, not space marines.
The poster has things from Aliens and things from Halo so it's fairly sensible to conclude that it's HaloGen's return, I believe they're using the name Asylum now.
And Torn, stop being daft.
It's quite clearly not a random picture, it's a recreation of the Fight For Her poster on the Pillar of Autumn (the filename is even exactly that) with a quote from the I Love Bees ARG that preceeded Halo 2 and a logo either intentionally or accidentally similar to that of the USCM from Aliens.

I'm not being 'daft'. I've never played Halo and I have no idea what the Pillar of Autumn is. I meant random in the fact that it's not linked to anything. It could LITERALLY be for anything, and hardly works if you don't mention what it's actually trying to show. Joke of a news post.

The news post has nothing to do with anything, apart from some vague Halo reference, which only Halo fans will see, apparantly. Therefore how does that target demographic fit with a CNC3 site? Apparantly I'm a moron by calling the news post stupid when I'm not a Halo fan. I didn't know I had to be a Halo fan to understand rubbish news posts on a CNC3 news page.
