Great Mod you guys have here. :dry: though I doubt I'm much use so I can't really help. :p
But this may have been suggested but grievouis should get his vechcile the rolls around if possible

You can definitely help, i'll admit one of my weak spots is ideas. So keep things like this coming, we're always glad to have input :lol:

The Grievous bike has been discussed, we haven't really reached a final decision yet. Peraonslly I think it's really cool, not sure if it might make him overopwered or not. I mean, to have the capability to quickly fly past enemy forces on the bike, then take him off the bike and have a hero so powerful as Grievous way behind enemy lines at their base could be a bit overpowered. But I'm sure we'll either have it in the campaign or skirmish/multiplayer.

Well, we could make the bike really weak in armor and health, so it's destroyed very easily. And once it's destroyed, it would blow up Grievous too.
Then you'd need to make a strategical decision: do you want a slow powerful hero in the middle of the battlefield or rather try to sneak him past the enemy lines, with the risk of losing him very quickly?

Yeah, but how do we have him summon it and have it not look stupid? Could we get a ship to drop it for him or something? If we are limited to having it appear or fade in, I say drop it on account of graphical suckiness.

Hmm. Ship drop sounds good, but how would we get the transition to look right? Ship would come down, wheelbike drops out...then fades? If we could get it so he climbs on to it that would be awesome, but i'm not sure if it's possible.

By the way, I'm splitting the old BFME discussion from the one now.

Actually...do I have to click the check on every single one of the 100 or so posts I want to split? Cause I actually did that then figured out when I switched pages I lost all my old selections.

I have an idea for Explosions. maybe like WiC when a explosion hits the ground a Crater appears?

Definitely. They had that in BFME for catapults, I think they have it in CNC3, not sure though. But I have confidence that since BFME and CNC3 use the same engine, we can bring back the code for that.

Would make for some cool battlegrounds :D

That's just a decal used by an FXList which is activated when the projectile hits the ground (aka 'dies'). Pretty easy stuff if you ask me. Making it look realistic is the hardest part of that.

So, I finally played that game EVERYONE talks about Soooo Much.

Yes...I had never played it and lemme say this. IT WAS AWESOME. But the real reason as to why im bringing this up, Is because I liked the Synced Kills. So i was thinking as a maybe 10-20 second death animation you could have the 2 jedis fighting and clashing with their lightsabers until the guy who had died just dies from a cool move. Just putting it out there.

Thats always a possibility. But to coordinate it with both Jedi we would have to make sure that the winning Jedi has a special killing animation that matches up with the dying Jedi's death animation.

BTW: DLOTS, if you read this, do you think you could try to split the topics where the CNC3 GAW General Discussion started? If I recall correctly, it's around page 16. I don't seem to be able to do it right.

Hmmmm, so you want some canonical star wars suggestions? Let’s get started :p Just remember, I don’t actually have c&c3 yet so I’m just using my knowledge of bfme’s engine for these, and off of your old tech tree from bfme GaW

1st off, heroes. Not sure if they can even have powers like bfme, but I’m assuming they can.

Republic heroes

Yoda- requires jedi temple to build. Slow when moving normally, very fast when ordered to attack enemies (like trolls of bfme1)
Powers- Force jump (leap to any location in sight
Leadership (same concept as bfme)
Force shockawave (sends out a big shockwave knocking enemies in all directions back, maybe killing weaker units like battle droids.
Jedi Master (some stat boosting thing?)
Guardian of the Republic (+25% damage when fighting sith or dark jedi)

Mace Windu- requires jedi temple to build.
Powers- Shatterpoints (passive, 2x damage vs vehicles)
Leadership
Force speed (double movement and attack speed for limited period)
Last of the Windu (after death fighting thing?)

Obi-wan- requires jedi temple to build
Powers- Master and apprentice (passive, +25% armor when by Anakin)
Force jump
Force push (concentrated blast of force energy)
Throw saber (highly damaging, loses ability to block blaster fire while in process)

Anakin- requires jedi temple to build. (maybe obiwan too?)
Powers- Master and apprentice (passive, +25% damage when by Obi-wan)
Rage (creates force whirlwind type thing, maybe lightning fx, removes 1/5 of Anakin’s max health)
Careful targeting (passive, Anakin and all nearby units do 1.5x damage to vehicles)
Lightsaber Mastery (creates impenetrable shield around Anakin and a little to his sides for 8 or so seconds)
Secret alliance (passive, gains +25% damage and -15% armor when near Padme)

Commander Cody- Requires Kamino Alliance? Blast pistol I guess for weapon
Powers- leadership to clones
Unwavering loyalty (fights better near other heroes?)
Rapid shot (increases attack speed by 200% for 20 or so seconds)

Padme- requires senate building
Powers- secret alliance (+10% armor when near Anakin)
Leadership
Upholder of the republic (heals troops)

R2D2- low costing spy, attack with that shocker thing? Or maybe spill oil then light :)
Powers- Jets (increased movement for limited time)
Hijack (temporarily slices into an enemy tank/droid)


thats all the ones you had on your old list, i hope you add more like kit fisto and ki adi mundi etc though ;) tell me what you think

I don't think they included the custom heroes code, so i doubt it is possible.

How will the Mandalorians factor in? Will they at all? I recall seeing a skin somewhere 'round here, so I'm assuming they will be in.
If you can't tell, I'm a huge Mando' fan, so I'm really excited at the possibility of them featuring in this great mod :ohmy:
