They will be heroes in the BFME style... strong and with special powers (I think). I guess the standard ones like force push, force lightning and such should be pretty easy to implement.

If possible, they will be able to deflect blaster hits, so that they don't get gunned down while running at the enemies :p

Lol are you sure Georgy wont get pissed that were making mods like that Annoyed Blizzard...You know the starcraft mod..Oh and Master Windu..Those screens..are they CnC 3 mods or EaW because if thats how good they can be textured for CnC ima faint..those look like real starwars ships from the movies

P.S. Someone yelled KHAAAAAAAAAN biking down the street yesterday it was loud...

It might be possible, yet we haven't heard of any SW mod that has got a C&D. Imperial Assault and Imperial Assault 2 both managed to get by without being bothered, I think.
Indeed, what reason would LucasArts have to shut us down? We're doing a high-quality, close-to-canon and free product that could be seen as free advertisment for Star Wars.

DLOTS is 100% correct, again. Imperial Assault was a huge TC mod for C&C Generals ZH, and they had multiple releases and even released a final version with a single player campaign. Neither EA or LucasArts bothered them a bit. Then as for Imperial Assault II, they weren't bothered either.

Just like Imperial Assault, we are using LucasArts material to make a mod for an EA game. We shouldn't be bothered.

About heroes, yes, they will be like BFME style, and will hopefully be able to do all the things DLOTS said. The Republic have about 5 or 6 and the CIS have about 4 or 5. We will also have a sort of 'miniheroes' which will be Generals style heroes, or like the Commando in CNC3. They will be capable of doing huge damage, but they will die very quickly if you let them take heavy fire. These miniheroes will be people like the Jedi who fight and have names, but don't have speaking roles.

The screens are for EAW, but CNC3 has a better graphics engine, not to mention DX10. So those screens probably will look even better in CNC3.

Ya know..after all this i cant believe someone didnt start a modern warfare mod (Insurgency and USA) anyways

What do you mean? Technically? You just model a guy with swords, give him a weapon with very low range and let him kill enemy units... kinda simple if you ask me.

Yeah...there aren't any games that 'don't have melee.' As DLOTS said, you just code a weapon with short range, and have 'sword/lightsaber' animations and model.

Its actually really easy.

Thats the kind of stuff DLOTS was saying to try to keep to a minimum.

And also, about the jedi, if we feel they are too underpowered we could make them damage units when they land on them.

Yeah your rite...Sorry..Umm...Yeah about that...The jedi jump..how bout a cool attack with it when they hit the ground...Like yourself windu would hit the ground and stab the floor and people would go flying
anakin would do a flipping attack and slash people infront of him

oh and about Clone troops why not upgrade them to Episode II then III then To stormtroopers and so on for the rest like anakin when he reaches a certain lvl he becomes lord vader??

Well, we are doing something like that for the clones. They all start out in Episode II style, then you can upgrade them to their Episode III appearance, which gives them numerous upgrades (speed, armor, vision, etc.)

We won't make them upgrade to stormtroopers or Anakin to Vader because, firstly, stormtroopers and Vader don't fight for the republic.

Secondly, the mod doesn't go into the Galactic Civil War time period.

For the jump: Are you thinking of Battlefront? I was too ;)

AAAAAHHH you caught me at the jump :) sooo it doesnt go into the galatic period huh Shame...But maybe in the GaW World edit if u add one maybe put Vader as a easter egg?? ;)

Ummmm Maybe a bit of both...Like when hes in the Jedi Temple yeah hes the Regular EvIl Anny...But then the Epilouge Mission maybe could be the Tantivine Attack...sorta..SORTA like Rise of the witch king..And maybe u guys could add a expansion pack for the mod after the regular is released...OR just a patch which has a extra campaign called rise of the empire or rise of the republic or both

Oh and btw..will the clones and droids have good formations..not like cnc where they are in 6 men and they arent in a form they just seem to move out of it

When it comes to such huge mods like this one, getting to the stage of releasing a beta version is already quite much. We will aim at a singleplayer campaign as soon as we have the skirmish version working, but a special campaign for events the mod does actually not deal with is kind of unrealistic. We are a couple of guys enjoying to mess with a game, not the EALA dev team.

Agreed. Beta is a lot of work and a great accomplishment, many mods don't get to this point. Campaign is even farther.

A second campaign/ex pack is not going to happen. Maybe if some of us are around in a few years for a possible sequel to CNC3. But not anytime in in the near future.

Look, one of the parts to making a great mod is to only plan things you can finish. We're not going to act like we're going to be able to make an entire mod and a second campaign.

Be happy with what we are doing, it is actually quite a lot ^_^
