I bought the console version and it works great, the only downside is TF2 has amazing lag right now that is supposed to be patched in a couple of days. Also the max is only 16 players, but I played in a game last night that the host was telling me there is a hack to get up to 24 players in one game...and sure enough in a few minutes we had 24 players in his game! Have no idea how he did it, but I need to find out!

Also, console version you don't have to buy PC parts to run the games at highest graphic settings, and rarely ever will you get game lockups or system crashes that plague PCs a lot.

svenkill definitely has a point about crashes. TF2 has been suddenly crashing a lot on my Vista laptop. I can run the game on full without lag, but it suddenly crashes without warning (mmm...redundant sentence, not gonna fix it). Sometimes it freezes the game, sometimes freezes the computer, other times almost all of the graphics disappear.

But crashes happen rarely enough, and usually only happen when I should be doing work anyway, encouraging me to stop procrastinating. I call it a feature, not a bug. :xd:

Well, when it comes to writing an expository essay about counter-insurgent tactics, I'm of the old school. First you tell them how you're going to kill them. Then you kill them. Then you tell them how you just killed them.

Too cute! | Server Status: If you can read this, it's up |

I'd be worried if you had to buy new parts to run TF2 on its highest settings.

That's true, mainly because it has higher potential graphical settings on the PC meaning you can't physically have the highest settings on the 360,

Indeed.

Total number of times my computer has crashed for any reason other than me accidentally kicking it or overclocking the processor too hard = 0.

I've had three games spunk on me on PC without editing.

CnC Generals, BfME II and FreeLancer.

Cnc Generals ran fine for over a year, then all of a sudden all the terrain went black for no apparent reason. Updated my video drivers, problem solved.

BfME II was as stable as a woman driver on narcotics balancing on a pogostick. It crashed constantly during particular missions. It's better now it's patched, six months down the line.

FreeLancer would crash occasionally in online games when going between systems. No idea why.

TF2 was crashing on my vista laptop because my drivers were so rubbish. New ones fixed it.

I actually think TF2, along with Portal, is one of the best games ever. Had a massive epic dustbowl game yesterday - we were red, so defending, and lost the first 2 parts and the first control point of the third parts, and were majorly sucking. Blue had like 4 people from the same clan all working together which didn't help. We had 20 minutes to defend the final control point, no hope whatsoever.

Then suddenly, last ditch defenses held them off, before me and friend decided to go engineers and help defend - it worked, we had a mental sentry farm of about 5 sentries, and the rest of the team were going mental, pyros and heavies charging into the enemy and pushing them back. We somehow managed to hold out until the 2 minute mark, when all our sentries got taken out at the same time by a few pesky demomen and it was last ditch time again. We all raced to get the sentries back up in time, and managed to hold out for the remaining seconds. It was a truly stunning effort by our team, considering how shit we were before.

I'm usually a pyro, it's quality nipping in behind the enemy lines and completely rinsing a ton of guys who were caught unawares. I switch to demoman sometimes when there are sentries that the team seem incapable to take out by themselves, or engineer when our team need help defending. It's such a quality game and offers so much variation. Dustbowl is my favourite FPS map of all time ever, it's tremendous.

Yeah, TF2 is just amazing! Yeah, I've had a few problems with my PC, but it's mostly due to overclocking because I'm poor and can't afford new PC parts to keep my PC at high speeds.

If anyone happens to totally destroy someone by the name of DazJW that's me :xcahik_:

Got Orange Box today and one of my mates got it yesterday so I'll probably be on a fair bit.
