I really don't do requests and my Arnor Soldier is not fit for BFME. Don't ask me for either.

Do you mind if we write a short backstory for our Heraldry? I'm working on a design involving Scatha the Worm, but I'm worried noone would understand what it symbolises :p
Oh, great idea guys!
Cheers,

Here's mine, I did it in Paint, as it's the only thing I can really draw in (on the computer).
Here it is:
Posted Image
...and here's the backstory:
Early in the Third Age of Middle-earth, a Dragon, Scatha the Worm, ravaged the Grey Mountains. Fighting with tooth and nail, it slaughtered the Dwarves of those Mountains, driving them from their ancestral dwellings. Eventually, a warrior stood up to this monstrosity-Fram, of the Eothed. He slew the beast, and took it's hoard as his own. However, the surviving Dwarves put claim to the mass of treasure, as it was theirs to begin. Having no love for the "Stunted Folk," Fram instead sent them a single golden necklace-strung with the severed teeth of Scatha. He also sent a message, saying, "Jewels such as these you will not match in your treasuries, for they are hard to come by." Insulted beyond belief, the Dwarven clan declared a blood feud with the Eothed and killed Fram. However, his people escaped beyond the Dwarves' reach, with their treasure, and to this day befoul their minds with thoughts of revenge. Their clan's banner, maroon-the shade of Scatha's hide-and green-the chief colour of Fram's House, dominated by a solitary gold ring and two hands-one an extended palm of a Man, the other a clenched Dwarven fist-serves to remind them of their past attrocity and failure, and they have spent their resources far and wide in order to reclaim what was once theirs.
What d'ya'll think? I know it's not the best (with Paint and all :p ), but hopefully the team can refine it into a better composition.
I wanted to put the Dwarven glyphs for Hate, Lust, and Revenge on the Heraldry, but I can't find them :p
Cheers,
-mike

Here's my entry
rasymbol.jpg
This is the symbol of a dwarven family which specialises in construction. It's forefather and his two sons built a house in a hill, where the family grew and became prosperous.

Description: The letters at the top of the banner mean "Erebor" in Angerthas. I choose this elvish letters as
the dwarves use their own letters very rarely. The letters at the side stand for "blacksmith" as the family carrying this banner is a family of great blacksmithes. Also the hammer and the anvil are a symbol for the family. The Mountain with the crown at its top stands for the Mountain Erebor and King Dain II Ironfoot. The star at the top of the banner is a symbol for the relationship of this family to Thorin Oakenshield.

It isn't very good at least, but i will make a second, better version of this banner^^

And with more smudging.

Tell me what you think ^_^

This is the heraldy for mining, the most of the members of this clan have worked their whole life in the mines,
looking for jewels and rare metals.

A rough concept of my armorer's clan done in paint (I still feel it needs something more...):
Posted Image
the symbols are pretty straight forward...a Dwarven fist gripping a metal worker's hammer with sparks shooting off in the background.

...BTW, great to see another one of these contests going again...really glad to see you guys still hammerin' away at this project!

Looking good people! I was worried we might not get very many submissions, but I see I was wrong. Some good stuff here, keep them coming.

And lotrfreak, please post them in an image format, not a powerpoint doc.
